• Official Fan-Submitted Content: A number of characters, creatures and locations were named and/or designed by Kickstarter backers, including the Sigil-Ridden Navigator, the Tireless Mechanic, Maybe's Daughter, the Irrepressible Cannoneer, the Alarming Scholar, the Merchant Venturer and the islands of Visage and Nuncio.
• What Could Have Been:
  • The Castles on the Roof expansion, a stretch goal which failed to be achieved during the game's Kickstarter campaign. If funded, it would have added dirigibles to allow you to explore the roof of the Neath, including New Newgate Prison and the stalagmite-citadels of the Starved Men. According to the developers, they took that into account when making Zubmariner and this is probably one of the reasons that expansion is so enormous.
  • The Empire of Hands, according to Failbetter's blog, ultimately missed out on elements including soul alchemy, romancing a Clay Man, a reference to Guybrush Threepwood, and the option to eat the Monkey Foundling.
