  • Adored by the Network: The show premiered in a marathon format with all 20 episodes of season 1 airing back-to-back, and was later renewed for a second season. However....
  • Channel Hop: ....the show moved to HBO Max for its second season along with Infinity Train. It was thusly rebranded as an HBO Max original and is therefore not in the service's Cartoon Network section. Upon the service's launch, the first season was pulled from CN's on-demand platforms. When SCI was removed from HBO Max, it was announced that the final season would air on CN, taking this trope full circle.

  • Descended Creator: Series creator Julia Pott voices Susie, the lead camp counselor and resident Alpha Bitch.
  • Marathon Running: The series took over both Cartoon Network and Boomerang with 20 episodes debuting back-to-back. Beginning Saturday, July 7 at 6 a.m. (ET/PT) through Sunday, July 8 (though Cartoon Network's broadcast was interrupted by [adult swim]). Many fear take this is a sign that the show is being Screwed by the Network and burned off to justify getting it off the schedule due to not being named Teen Titans Go! (though it is worth noting that the show premiered around the time that TTG! was severely declining in popularity and Cartoon Network was trying to restore variety to their schedule).

    • Both Shark and Monster Under The Bed were voiced by Judd Hirsch in the pilot, while the actual series respectively casts them with Richard Kind and Alfred Molina.
    • Pepper was voiced by Sam Lavagnino for most of the show's life before switching to Julian Edwards for the final season
  • Production Posse: Since Julia Pott previously worked on Adventure Time, some of her co-workers from that show moved to work on this show.
  • Screwed by the Network: The sixth and final season was supposed to premiere on June 9, 2022, but it was delayed to 2023. Later on, the entire show was pulled from HBO Max. On the plus side, however, the show is back to airing on the linear Cartoon Network channel, where season six would end up premiering.
  • What Could Have Been: According to Julia Pott, Oscar originally had a crush on Hedgehog, but in development, she and her team decided to make them really close friends.
"We wanted to have a best friendship that was just unconditional friendship love with nothing romantic there, just these two people that really support and love each other no matter what."
  • Word of God: The ages of the characters: Lem is 5, Pepper and Lucy are 9, Oliver is 10, Oscar, Hedgehog, and Max are 11, and Alexa is 12.
