Trivia / Spark the Electric Jester 3

Go To

  • Development Gag: In Spark 1's development, the Prototype was supposed to be the main villain of the story, and supposedly the final boss, before Fark got added in later on. Spark 3's Endless Dive DLC has the final fight be against Freom's MK. 0 body, which is a one-to-one replica of the Prototype.
  • Meaningful Release Date: Spark 3 was originally scheduled to release on August 15th, 2022, but it ended up releasing on August 14th, a Sunday, instead. In Brazil (LakeFeperd's birth country), Father's Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of August. The game was released as a Father's Day gift to everyone.
  • Refitted for Sequel:
    • The driving sections are a remnant from XF Drive, an unreleased racing game developed by Feperd Games prior to Spark 3.
    • The assets for the Friday Night Funkin'-style credits sequence, including the music, are recycled wholesale from a Friday Night Funkin fan game by LakeFeperd called "Spark VS. Fark".
  • What Could Have Been: Originally, Jester Powers, introduced in the first game, were to continue appearing here. However, due to increased development time and not constituting much to gameplay as a whole (without replacing Spark's moveset, which was something that LakeFeperd was trying to avoid since the first game), it was axed. Another concept included one power that could be upgraded throughout the game, but that was similarly axed. Ultimately, the Reaper Jester was the only remnant of the Jester Powers concept, which was kept in due to fan demand. The optional characters Float, Fark, and Sfarx more or less replace the Jester Powers and use similar mechanics.
