Trivia / Pinkalicious & Peterrific

Go To

  • Adored by the Network: It has received a large amount of love from PBS since its debut, mainly through advertising, promotions on major websites like YouTube, releasing episodes on their app before their release date, and even turning the whole PBS Kids website pink at one point.
    • While other PBS Kids shows had to wait months or years to get a DVD release, Pinkalicious and Peterrific snagged one just three months after its premiere.
    • Along with Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood, it tends to get a lot of focus on the social media of PBS Kids.
  • Cast Incest: In the Spanish dub, Pinkalicious and her dad are voiced by a married couple (Cristina Hernández and Ricardo Tejedo).
  • Children Voicing Children: All the kid characters are voiced by child actors obviously.
  • Dueling Shows: The show is competing against Fancy Nancy, another cartoon based on an inherently girly children's book.
  • He Also Did: The executive producer for the show, Dorothea Gillim, is the creator of WordGirl. She also worked on Curious George and Time Warp Trio.
  • Only So Many Canadian Actors: At first, it was an aversion, having NYC-based actors. However, season 4 moves the voice recording to Toronto, resulting in some familiar voices like Veronica Hortiguela (Lucita on Hero Elementary) and Maria Nash (Olive on Elinor Wonders Why) popping up.
  • The Other Darrin: For season 4, PBS forced the voice recording to move from New York to Toronto, therefore replacing the entire cast.
  • Out of Order: The 23rd episode of season 1 ("Pink or Treat / Berry Scary') was aired as the 21st episode. The 21st ("Sidewalk Art / Gnome at Home") and 22nd episodes ("Don't Wake Norman / Pinkasaurus") were aired afterward.
  • Recycled Title: The episode Space Dancing uses the same title as a Wiggles CGI video from 2003.
  • Word of God: According to this tweet from the show's official Twitter account, Mayor Martinez is Rafael's mom, and Rafael has a little sister the same age as Peter.
