• Actor Allusion: That Rom Stoll shtick Reiji pulls off, he starts it off here. Well, to be exact, Xiaomu says it then tells Reiji to do it. Sadly, he doesn't (in this game at least)
  Reiji: "Hey, Wait! Poetry, who does that on this day and age? Talk about bad tastes."
  Xiaomu: "People call that 'Being caught red handed'!"
  Saya: "Huh...Hey, who...? Who is that ?"
  Xiaomu: "You don't deserve to know my name! Come on, tell her Reiji"!
• Fan Translation: An English translation patch was released on May 2005 by TransGen, group of Romhacking.net users, however, the quality of the patch has been considered rather dubious in quality due the choice of words used by certain characters, has some errors and bugs, and lack of translations in many other areas outside of the story such as attack/skill names and UI elements. In 2016, another Romhacking.net user is attempting to refine TransGen's translation patch, which has gotten the blessing of one of the team members behind initial fan translation patch.
• Marth Debuted in "Smash Bros.": Reiji and Xiaomu, as well as Saya and her henchmen, debuted in the states with Endless Frontier and would appear again in both Project × Zone and its sequel. But so far, their origin game has still yet to be localized in any way.
• No Export for You: It was said that the game was originally going to be released in the US, however Namco backed out at the last instance due to a lot of their characters being unknown to westerners. Aside from a fan-group releasing a patch that translated the whole game into English, as of now, there are no known plans to release the game to the west, even with its spiritual successor, Project × Zone, actually getting released outside Japan.
• The Other Darrin: A few characters have undergone seiyuu changes (such as Ryōtarō Okiayu as Captain Commando, taking over from Takashi Nagasako in the Marvel vs. Capcom games, or Yuka Imai voicing Lilith instead of Hiroko Konishi), but a good number of the pre-voiced characters retained their respective VAs. In fact, some characters hailing from series where voice changes were a frequent event (i.e. Street Fighter) actually brought back some of the past seiyuu for reprises.
• Role Reprise: Several characters from games included and released around this time reprise their voice actors- for instance, Kumiko Watanabe reprises her role as Klonoa.
• What Could Have Been: Saya was originally written as “brutal and irritating”, but feedback from her voice actress, Ai Orikasa, convinced the team to change it.
