- Actor Allusion: This isn't the first time Mako played an Imperial Japanese Naval officer.
- Cast the Expert: Gunny Lauton was played by the series' military advisor, one Captain Dale Dye. Like how R. Lee Ermey was casted for Sgt. Hartman, the character Gunny is based on.
- Stillborn Franchise: This game was intended to be the first in a series of games that never got pushed through, mainly due to mediocre reception and lower-than-expected sales at the time of its release.
- What Could Have Been:
- The Type 100 Submachine Gun was planned to be usable by the player. But other than appearing in one cutscene, it was Dummied Out, a High-Standard HDM was also cut and can be seen in early footage.
- Several cut weapons, like a Luger and Lewis Gun as well as the Type 100 appear in renders for the MP characters.
- Mentioned above, there was going to be a sequel that was told from Donnie Griffin's point of view. But the project was canned after the lukewarm reception the game received.
