Trivia / Medal of Honor: Vanguard

Go To

  • Fake American: Corporal Garrett, an American soldier, is voiced by Peter Giles, who is Canadian.
  • Long Song, Short Scene: When a Tiger Tank gets stuck on a trench in 'Endgame', the first 11 seconds of Shipyards of Lorient plays, the rest of the track is never heard at any point of the game.
  • Prop Recycling: The game reuses several assets and animations from Medal of Honor: European Assault.
  • Recycled Soundtrack: Only three tracks are original, Operation Husky, Operation Varsity and Defusing the Charges, every other track is reused from previous Medal of Honor games.
    • And even those three tracks were specificially composed for Medal of Honor: Airborne, which was released later in the same year as Vanguard.
  • Very Loosely Based on a True Story: The contents of the mission 'Haunted', resemble the actions of Lieutenant John S. Thompson during Operation Market Garden, as both involve Paratroopers of the 82nd Division capturing a bridge near Grave and destroying two German Anti-Aircraft Guns on both sides of the bridge. However, the bridge Thompson captured was the then unnamed Grave Bridge (later named the John S. Thompsonbrug after him in 2004), where as the bridge in 'Haunted' is the Waalbrug.
