• Hypothetical Casting: Per usual, Claudia Grey has a couple of fancasts for her original characters:
  • Rami Malek as Kier Domadi.
• What Could Have Been:
  • The version of the first chapter printed as a preview in paperback copies of Lost Stars had Senator Gall Trayvis make a cameo as one of the senators attending Leia's Day of Demand, and it was revealed that he represented the world of Osk-Trill. The final book replaces him with Cinderon Malpe of Derella, possibly because the book takes place after the first season of Rebels and they feared a Continuity Snarl.
  • Originally, Word of God thought about making Panaka a soldier in the Rebellion, but Pablo Hidalgo reminded her that in Legends, this character was a Moff, loyal to Palpatine, so she decided that she didn't want to waste such an opportunity.
