• Shout-Out: The title of their song "Little Egypt" had also been the stage name of three well-known belly dancers; even before Leiber and Stoller's time, it had become a stereotypical name for an exotic dancer.
• What Could Have Been: After Jailhouse Rock, they conceived several future film projects for Elvis Presley without consulting Colonel Tom Parker (a notorious Control Freak) first. In retaliation, Parker froze them out of any future involvement in Elvis's career except for songwriting.
