Trivia / Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV

• All-Star Cast: The film features Sean Bean, Lena Headey and Aaron Paul performing major roles in the film.
• Celebrity Voice Actor:
  • The Japanese dub features veteran live-action actors Go Ayano and Shiori Kutsuna as the respective voices of Nyx and Lunafreya.
  • Sean Bean, Lena Headey and Aaron Paul as Regis, Lunafreya and Nyx in the original English version.
• Cross-Regional Voice Acting: The original English dialogue was recorded at Bang Zoom! Entertainment in Los Angeles and at De Lane Lea Studio in London.
• International Coproduction: The film was primarily a co-production between Visual Works (Japan), Digic Pictures (Hungary) and Image Engine (Canada), with additional animation companies from America, Japan, India, Hungary, France, South Korea, China and Spain^note including Blur Studio, Polygon Pictures, Q Tec, ILCA, The Monk Studios, Marza Animation Planet, Studio GOONEYS, Digital Frontier, Anima, Platige Image and Puppetworks also involved in the production. The music was recorded at Ocean Way Nashville (USA) and the English voice recording was done at both Bang Zoom! Entertainment (USA) and at De Lane Lea Studio (UK).
• The Red Stapler: The Audi R8 has been in the market for several years now before it was featured prominently as King Regis' royal mode of transportation in Kingsglaive. Audi has since made a special one-off customized unit of the car.
• What Could Have Been:
  • The release of the Kingsglaive trailer has now revealed that a lot of the material from the early Versus XIII footage has been repurposed and remade for the movie.
  • It was originally planned to have the English voice cast for Kingsglaive reprise their roles for XV, but it didn't work out due to budgetary and scheduling problems.^note Apparently the choice to get the main Celebrity Voice Actor trio of Aaron Paul, Sean Bean and Lena Headey was to bring in a casual movie-going audience to see the film, which also led to the Japanese roles going to different actors in the process.
  • Noctis's VA Tatsuhisa Suzuki stated that Kingsglaive was made from what was originally meant to be gameplay in which Noctis and friends would be directly present during the invasion of Insomnia and would have to sneak out (itself seen in several very early pre-release screenshots for Versus XIII/XV), but were forced to scrap due to inability to get the engine to run. It was then repurposed into a movie with the original protagonist Nyx taking Noctis's place.
