Trivia / Kill Six Billion Demons

Go To

  • Abstract Scale: In his tumblr, the author answers questions about how powerful characters are by measuring them in Gokus. It started here and then got out of hand.
  • Ascended Fanon:
    • The author frequently works comments and suggestions from readers into the comic. An even weirder example is a random angel-name generator which one fan created the author then used to name several canonical angels.
    • In a more direct sense with the Cast Full of Gay aspects. Abaddon had directly written some queer and feminist themes into the story which had attracted an LGBT Fanbase, but these weren't explicitly major themes that were meant to be followed up on. Abaddon realized that setting up themes and not following up on them is pretty bad writing (and queerbaiting), so decided to make them more substantial. However, when there was a substantial backlash against Allison and Cio's kiss as falling into a number of bad tropes, Abaddon listened to the fan response and made some changes to better handle those aspects of the story based on feedback.
  • Ascended Meme:
    • After Solomon David left, a lot of memes focused on the idea that he'd decided to take up fishing. When we finally see him again, that's exactly what he turns out to be doing.
  • Contest Winner Cameo: Abaddon held a contest for fans to submit designs and descriptions for devils to be featured in the comic as members of the heist crew that's going to break into Mammon's vault. All entries can be found on the Infinite Devil Engine, and the winners- Suuz the Acrobat, 1-11, Cat Master, Xand and Nxor, and Charon- are set up to be major characters in the Heist arc.
  • Creator Backlash: Not Kill Six Billions itself, but the author has indicated that he sees parts of the original forum-adventure it's based on this way, especially its heavy use of fanservice.
  • Official Fan-Submitted Content: Uniquely, the comments section below each page has become fertile ground for exploring and developing the lore, as a large number of commenters go out of their way to respond to each comic in-character or in a fashion that mimics the author's writing style, and many of them are quite good at it.
  • Referenced by...: Break the Wheel, an Amphibia fanfic that incorporates elements of the comic, such as making Sasha an Expy of Maya.
  • Running Gag:
  • Shrug of God:
    • The author's answer to a question about whether each world is an entire universe with its own planets is "I don't know."
    • He later said that he feels that this sort of answer is important, stating:
"Point being, if you are curious about very specific details of the KSBD setting, you are my favorite person, but I honestly often do not know the answer, and I think your answer will be better than mine."
    • To clarify, the comic uses both "world" and "universe" as synonyms from the realms beyond each of the 777,777 gates, but the comic's story will likely never reach the scale where more than one planet would be visited per gate, so it is a moot point.
  • Word of Gay: Abbadon's response to a question about Incubus's sexuality was that they were 'pretty sure' Incubus is gay, but that he is 'gay for ambition', above all else.
