• Actor Allusion:
  • This isn't the first time Jim Conroy has voiced an animated talking dog, as one of his most notable roles, prior to Huckleberry, was as the titular host of FETCH! with Ruff Ruffman. Ditto for this not being his first time on a production with Hanna-Barbera characters, as he's voiced a couple of minor roles in Top Cat: The Movie.
  • Paul F. Tompkins is renowned among comedians as being an unusually snappy dresser, while his most prominent character, Magilla Gorilla, runs a haberdashery.
  • Mildew Wolf crushing on Shazzan seems to be a nod to his original actor, Paul Lynde, who was quite open (if not forthcoming) about his own sexuality.
  • In the Latin American Spanish dub, Mildew Wolf is voiced by Carlo Vázquez, who already voiced another wolf.
  • In the Japanese dub, Winsome Witch is voiced by Rinko Hayashi, who previously voiced Witch Lezah in the Japanese dub of The Looney Tunes Show.
• Blooper:
  • Near the beginning of "Must Be Jelly," after Ranger Smith asks Cindy to organize a car wash/bake sale, Cindy's flower is missing for a couple frames after she turns her head.
  • In the credits of "Spell Book", Bernardo de Paula is credited as Snooper and Georgie Kidder as Blabber. It should be the other way around, as Snooper went through a Gender Flip and Blabber is still the same.
• Celebrity Voice Actor:
  • In "Balloon Kids", George Takei shows up to voice So-So.
  • Rob Riggle as Blue Falcon in "Heroes and Capes".
• Children Voicing Children: Similar to Greenblatt's previous works, child actors voice many of the younger characters in Jellystone. Including:
  • Katie Grober as Yakky Doodle.
  • Oscar Reyez as Ruff.
  • Jakari Fraser as Reddy.
• Crossdressing Voices:
  • Dana Snyder as The Gossipy Witch in "Balloon Kids".
  • Pixie is voiced by Jenny Lorenzo.
  • Although the character is female in this series, Spooky is voiced by a man in Italian and European Spanish
• Colbert Bump: For most of the Hanna-Barbera cartoons featured, since it had been 30+ years since any of these characters ever appeared on TV aside from cameos in other shows. A more notable example is when interested in Space Ghost Coast to Coast went up after Season 3 released, which had a episode featuring the C2C versions of the characters.
• Cross-Regional Voice Acting: As this article discusses, most of the cast are based in Los Angeles, but Jim Conroy records his lines from New York.
• Dawson Casting: Augie Doggie^note voiced by Georgie Kidder, Shag Rugg^note voiced by Ron Funches, Lambsy and Caveman Jr.^note both voiced by Dana Snyder, are among the many child characters who are voiced by adults.
• Descended Creator: C. H. Greenblatt is the voice of Boo Boo, Peter Potamus, Doggie Daddy, Drooper, and Benny the Ball.
• Distanced from Current Events:
  • "Grocery Store":
    • A cut scene from this episode involved El Kabong buying toilet paper. This was cut due to COVID-19 where people were hoarding toilet paper.
    • For the same reason listed above, a scene where Lippy the Lion coughs was also removed.
  • "Cattanooga Cheese Explosion": The song sung by the Cattanoogas originally had the line "If your immune system's busted, you'll catch a disease" but this was cut out of fear it would be seen as referencing the Coronavirus.
• Executive Meddling: A legal team prohibited Yogi from calling Boo Boo "Boobs", as well as Choo-Choo saying that her sister was in jail. Ironically enough, a whole episode about jail was made ("Jailcation").
• Invisible Advertising: The third season had no advertising at all. Max didn't release a trailer for it until the day it premiered.
• Marth Debuted in "Smash Bros.": Since The Cattanooga Cats never aired in Japan, their Jellystone! appearance marked their official debut there.^note It's the Wolf! did air in Japan as Ramji-chan, paired with Motormouse and Autocat, which was called Nigeroya nigero dai rēsu. Cattanooga Cats and Around the World in 79 Days were ommitted
• Out of Order: "Spell Book" was likely going to be paired with "Sweet Dreams", since they both have the Speed Buggy intro gag. However, "Spell Book" was released by itself for Halloween 2021, resulting in every episode after that releasing as a quarter-hour short. "Sweet Dreams" wouldn't be released until March 2022.
• The Other Darrin:
  • For obvious reasons, because most of the characters' original voice actors had already passed away within the last thirty years. This even happened with some voice actors who are still alive, as Jane, Judy, Rosie, and Astro were all recast despite their respective voice actors (Grey DeLisle, Danica McKellar, Tress MacNeille, and Frank Welker) all being alive, with Welker already returning as Fred on the show.
  • For his cameo in "Vote Raspberry", The Red Guy is voiced by Dana Snyder instead of Charlie Adler.
  • For Zorak and Moltar’s appearance, they are now voiced by Jim Conroy and Bernardo de Paula respectively, after the death of Clay Martin Croker.
• Production Posse:
  • Dana Snyder, Dwight Schultz, and George Takei previously voiced Gazpacho, Mung Daal, and Foie Gras on Chowder, another C. H. Greenblatt show.
  • Ego Plum, who previously worked with Greenblatt on Harvey Beaks as the show's composer, returns to compose the music for Jellystone.
  • Hacienda Post, the sound editorial company that previously worked with Greenblatt on Chowder and Harvey Beaks, provides sound editing services for Jellystone (naturally making frequent use of classic Hanna-Barbera Stock Sound Effects).
• Quarter Hour Short: "Spell Book", the Halloween Episode, was released on its own as an 11-minute episode, with no sister segment. Later on, every episode of Season 2 was released individually, but it's pretty easy to tell which episodes were to be paired together based on their Couch Gags.
• Real-Life Relative: In the Latin American Spanish dub, Captain Caveman is voiced by Ulises Maynardo Zavala, who is the son of the late Maynardo Zavala, the voice actor who voiced that character previously (the both of the them also coincidentally voiced Gazpacho in the Latin American dub of Chowder)
• Refitted for Sequel: Jabberjaw being female was originally planned for SCOOB!, but her role was eventually cut from the final product.
• Role Reprise:
  • Jeff Bergman returns to voice Yogi and Ranger Smith for this series after voicing them in various bumpers for Cartoon Network and Boomerang, Web Premiere Toons, and the 2018 video game Yogi Bear Slot Machine. Additionally, he also reprises the role of Mr. Jinks after voicing him in various bumpers for Cartoon Network. He also reprises his role as Fred Flintstone, having voiced him on and off since 2001. In "Meet the Jetsons," he reprised his role as George Jetson.
  • Frank Welker, Matthew Lillard, and Kate Micucci reprise their long standing roles as Fred, Shaggy, and Velma from the Scooby-Doo franchise. This, in turn, makes Welker the only actor on the show to be reprising a role from the original Hanna-Barbera cartoons themselves.
  • In the Latin American Spanish dub, Gabriel Cobayassi reprises his role as Yogi from previous animated specials, while Víctor Ugarte reprises his role as Boo Boo from the live-action film. Likewise, both Raul Anaya and Eduardo Garza reprise their role as both Top Cat and Fancy-Fancy respectively from the Mexican-made animated movies.
  • For the Japanese dub, Chafurin and Yu Hayashi reprise their roles as Yogi and Boo Boo respectively from the live-action movie. Meanwhile, Yoji Ueda reprises his role as Huck from Wacky Races (2017).
  • In the Polish dub, Jacek Kopczyński (Snagglepuss) and Zbigniew Konopka (Yogi Bear) reprise their roles from the 90's dubs.
  • Andy Merrill confirmed would be reprising his role as Brak from Space Ghost Coast to Coast. George Lowe also reprises his role as Space Ghost as well.
  • For an upcoming two-part special wherein Cartoon Network characters are transported to Jellystone, Greg Eagles will be reprising his role as the Grim Reaper.
• Screwed by the Lawyers:
  • Vague 'legal issues' prevented The Skatebirds and the Yo Yogi! designs from being added to the show.
  • Babu from the Jeannie cartoon was gonna be in the show, but because it's now owned by Sony, they replaced him with Shazzan.
• Throw It In!: As explained on the main page, the reason Jabberjaw pronounces her boss Magilla Gorilla's name as "Ma-JILL-a" is because Jabberjaw's voice actress, Niccole Thurman, initially didn't know how to pronounce Magilla's name. The crew decided this fit Jabberjaw's personality and kept the pronunciation.
• Voiced Differently in the Dub:
  • Over the years, Quick Draw McGraw/El Kabong was characterized in Latin America for speaking with a marked Anglo-Saxon accent, while in the dub of Jellystone! it was chosen to give him an Iberian accent from Spain. This is due to the fact that in the original version, the character adopted a new identity, now speaking with a subtle Mexican accent.
  • In the Spanish dub of Pixie, Dixie and Mr. Jinks, Mr. Jinks had an Andalusian accent, but in the Latin Spanish dub of Jellystone!, he speaks in a neutral way.
  • This show's version of Brain does not have a stutter. However, the Spanish dub restores her stutter and she is now called Demostenas.
  • Winnie now has a British accent, but the Spanish dub keeps her distinctive raspy voice from the original Winsome Witch.
• Voice-Only Cameo: In "Uh Oh! It's a Burglar!", Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble appear in the In-Universe horror movie, but are only heard and not shown. Fred is once again voiced by Jeff Bergman, while Barney is voiced by Paul F. Tompkins.
• What Could Have Been:
  • The show was originally conceived as a series of shorts akin to Looney Tunes Cartoons.
  • The first promo image from 2019◊ depicts Dixie, Squiddly, Yakky, and Augie as their usual male selves, while Magilla is depicted in his classic outfit.
  • "DNA A-Ok":
    • The episode had a cut gag of Yogi accidentally killing Atom Ant with a magnifying glass during the scam montage.
    • Choo Choo's line about her sister still being in hiding after stealing a cruise ship was originally about her sister being in jail after crashing the aforementioned cruise ship.
  • Character designs for The Skatebirds were drawn up, but didn't get used.
  • Greenblatt wanted the younger versions of the characters seen on Yo Yogi! to be canon in this show, but there were legal issues that prevented using them.
  • Jeannie and Babu were originally going to be in the show, but the crew later discovered that Warner Bros. didn't have the rights to those characters^note their series was produced as a commission by Screen Gems based on an SG-produced series; the present-day rights are with Sony Pictures Television so they used Shazzan instead.
  • Captain Caveman was going to appear in "Jelly Wrestle Rumble", but was cut.
  • "Jelly Wrestle Rumble" was originally going to have a scene where Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy hug Funky Phantom right out of Yogi's possessed body, causing Mildew to lament that his mother never hugged him like that.
  • Tara from The Herculoids was originally going to be in "Jelly Wrestle Rumble", but was replaced by Gravity Girl from The Galaxy Trio.
  • In "Gorilla In Our Midst", Yogi's line "I'm coming to save you bestest buddy" was originally "I'm coming to save ya Boobs" in reference to Yogi's nickname for Boo Boo "Boob". The legal team took it the wrong way and the line was rewritten.
  • Quick Draw McGraw was seemingly going to appear in the series, instead of being El Kabong full time.
  • "Balloon Kids":
    • Besides Captain Swipe, Lotta Litter, Mr. Smog, and the Gossipy Witch, two other Yogi's Gang villains were going to show up; Mr. Vandal and Dr. Bigot. Mr. Vandal was cut for time, while Dr. Bigot was cut because he was, well, a bigot. However, the planned joke with Dr. Bigot in the episode was that he even existed at all, and he wasn't going to participate in any racism as he did in Yogi's Gang.
    • The Gossipy Witch was going to spread gossip about Shag wetting the bed, but this was changed to making earwax sculptures.
• Word of Gay:
  • Jonny and Hadji are married.
  • Meanwhile, Squiddly Diddly, Jabberjaw, Loopy de Loop, and Bobbie Looey, are identified as transgender since they had changed genders during production, according to show artist Melody Iza.
  • That being said, Augie Doggie was conceptualized as a female very early in production, so it's unclear if that makes her transgender within the canon of the show or not. But in "Grocery Store", her father did refer to her as his "girl-son".
  • Iza also indirectly confirmed that Snagglepuss is gay in this continuity, as per the popular interpretation. When asked the question, she said "Hasn't Snagglepuss always been gay?"
