• International Coproduction: The shorts were produced by American developer 343 Industries and various Japanese animation studios. And that's not counting the work outsourced to studios from other countries or within Japan.
• The Other Darrin: Neither Master Chief nor Cortana sport their normal voice actors. Additionally, Dutch is voiced by Rob Mungle instead of Adam Baldwin.
• Uncredited Role: While most of the shorts have an overly detailed credits list attached, Prototype omits its inbetweening staff, only crediting the studios who did Ink & Paint (Wish), Backgrounds (Studio Green) and digital composite (T2 Studio).
• What Could Have Been: Homecoming, according to the commentary, nearly went in an even darker direction. Daisy was originally meant to be a Spartan candidate sniped in training by a Helljumper. A flash clone would be made of Daisy and be put in a forest near her old home, and her father was meant to be pumped fully of short-term amnesia-drugs, surrounded by empty liquor bottles, and made to believe he killed her while black-out intoxicated. Imagine Odd One Out following THAT.
