• Creator Backlash: Is one for Toho themselves, as they still refuse to release it on any format. They were considering releasing it in the mid-1990s, but then a bootleg print (thus one not expurgated of anything Toho might have wanted to cut) was put on the market, and Toho changed their minds.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: Often said to be the holy grail of bootlegs amongst Kaiju fans considering Toho banned it, meaning fans have to rely on bootlegs of a pre existing workprint in order to view it. Ditto for the American cut as well, which hasn’t seen a release since the days of VHS.
• What Could Have Been: A VHS release was planned by Toho in the early to mid 1990’s, but was ultimately cancelled at the last minute.
