Go To

  • Acting for Two:
    • David Kaufman voices Brix (from The Three Little Pigs) and Jack (from Jack And The Beanstalk).
    • Jim Cummings voices The Big Bad Wolf and Sir Dwight (one of the king's Knights).
  • Crossdressing Voices: Bear is voiced by Georgie Kidder while his friend Billy The Kid is voiced by Cherami Leigh. It's averted with the other young boy characters who are either voiced by men having high pitched voices, or young boys.
  • Dawson Casting: Goldie, who is 10, is voiced by Natalie Lander , who was 32 when the show came out. The same goes for Georgie Kidder, who voices Bear' who was 34 when the show come out.
  • The Other Darrin:
    • A very sad one in the Latin American Spanish dub: Goldie was originally voiced by Hiromi Hayakawa up to the first three episodes of the second season, but after her tragic demise due to a miscarriage, she is replaced with Denisse Aragón.
    • Episode 11 has Sir Kenneth of the King's Men voiced by Mitchell Whitfield rather than David Lodge.
  • Playing Against Type:
    • Goldie's mother, who's kind and caring, is voiced by Jane Lynch, of all people. She typically voices character with more sarcasm, whether good or bad.
    • Justin Felbinger, who voices nice guys like Miles Callisto and Mtoto , voices Jack B. Nimble, who, even with his Pet the Dog moments, is a jerk.
  • Production Posse: Much of the crew is a Handy Manny reunion, due to having some common writers, actors, and having Maria Estrada as the voice director. The same goes for Doc McStuffins.
  • Real-Life Relative:
    • Adorable Norm from the titular episode is voiced by Asher Kidder, the son of Georgie Kidder who voices Bear.
    • Natalie Lander voices Goldie. "Gnome Family Reunion" had her father David Lander voice Rumplestiltskin (in which was his final credited role)
  • Role Reprise: Jim Cummings, who voices the Big Bad Wolf in other Disney productions, once again voices him here.
  • Schedule Slip: The season 1 finale aired on August 15, 2016, while the season 2 premiere aired over a year later on September 18, 2017. However, this is because the studio switches to Titmouse Inc for the animation.
  • Screwed by the Network: The show fell into this during its second season. As it went on, its reruns were greatly reduced, it got pushed to rather peculiar premiere times, received little to no advertising, only aired on Disney Channel when it had new episodes, got booted the the Disney Junior channel to air its last 5 episodes, and was taken off the schedule a few weeks after the series finale aired. Much of this had to do with behind-the-scenes problems between Disney and the production companies that made the show's first season.
