• Creator Backlash: Tamsin Grieg has admitted she regrets applying for the role of Jackie, due to her being raised a Christian despite being of Jewish heritage.
• In Memoriam:
  • The last episode of Series 6: "The Females", has the final few seconds be dedicated to Frances Cuka, who played Jackie's Mother on the show.
  • The tenth-anniversary special is dedicated to Paul Ritter, who passed away due to a brain tumour not long after production wrapped.
• Real Song Theme Tune: "Animal" (Punks Jump Up Remix) by Miike Snow.
• What Could Have Been:
  • The original ending in "For Sale" was to have Jackie opening the front door to discover Jim with the lasagne he had made as an apology for breaking Martin's car. However, it was changed to Jackie opening the door to the couple who were intending on buying the home, making the brief dialogue about Jim seem forgotten.
  • In the 10th anniversary special Tamsin Grieg revealed the ending to "The Fox" was changed ever so slightly. Originally the final shot of the episode was to include Wilson humping the dead fox after he started eating it. However during filming the dog didn't go along with it and it was cut.
