• Referenced by...: In the original version of fellow FNaF fangame One Night at Flumpty's 2, Luigi's incarnation in this series appears as one of the props on CAM 7. Luigi was replaced by an alien in the game's The Egg Collection remaster, as part of the graphic changes done in other to remove most non-FNaF Shout-Outs for copyright reasons.
• Updated Re Release: Over the course of 2020, all five of the current games were given major updates that ranged from minor improvements like bug fixes, to entirely new game modes.
  • Every game was given a Custom Night along with several pre-set challenges.
  • Most of the games also included different trophies as rewards.
  • A few enemies were given redesigns as well, including Bowser, Ashley, and Demon Wario.
  • The first game was given a new achievement system.
  • The second game included the new Classic Mode, a mode that changes the gameplay to that of the first game, along with an endless variant.
    • Mario was also changed so that he would kill the player if they stayed in the Backroom too long.
    • A XP system was added, which awarded the player with decorations for reaching certain levels.
  • The third game was given the Daytime Quest, a new mode that allowed the player to move around the house during the day to collect food and items before the night begins.
    • The third game's new Custom Night also included All-Out Mode, which had the player go through all 12 possible nights at the max difficulty.
  • Origins adds 2018 Mode, which adds a new game along with a new story featuring VIRUS.
  • Four removed Night 6 in favor of Week 2, which changed the behavior of the characters, along with having to watch the hallway from behind.
    • Different skins for the remote were also added.
  • In 2023, it was anounced that all the games would be remastered, starting from FNAW 1.
• What Could Have Been:
  • As seen in the first trailer for the third game, there were only 9 rooms in the mansion at the time of said trailer's publication.
  • Origins' "2018 Mode" was going to be named "2016 Mode."
• Word of God: WwwWario explained the whole storyline twice, including a first try pre-Shows and a second after Shows' release, which was done across two videos.
