- What Could Have Been:
- There was an initial scene with Gudako speaking with Zelretch about her training Gudao and having knowledge about the upcoming Grand Order, but this scene was removed.
- The author initially wanted to make original singularities, but realized it would take too long to make everything. Some of the ideas were:
- 1) Vamprie World War, Normandy (World War): Saber Lily, and the enemy being Hitler with the Grail pulling a Darnic and fusing himself with Vlad.
- 2) The Seed of Liberty, Jamestown (first European Colony in America): Altera trying to save civilization from Geronimo Alter who wants to kill off the colonists so the native americans never lose their land.
- 3) Patron City of the Arts, Milan (Renaissance Italy): non-combat, and features an art competition where the gang has to outsmart their competitors in order to win the Grail from Da Vinci.
- 4) Slaughterhouse Plague City, Messina (The Black Death): Acelpius and the enemy was Pale Rider, who was using the plague to basically become a god.
- 6) Battlefield of Destiny, Kurukshetra (Mahabharata): Sixth one is too big to really speak about, but it was to be the ace.
- They didn't manage to think of a fifth one while the seventh would still be Babylonia.
- The author intended for all the Crypters to survive and experience Adaptational Heroism as a result of their friendships with Ritsuka. However, when the British Lostbelt was released and Beryl Gut's atrocities were revealed, the author was so disgusted that they decided in an author's note to kill him off in the Chaldea bombing.
- In the original version, Ritsuka summoned a female version of Enkidu who would be his main partner. The author changed it upon realizing this would make Mash obsolete.
