• Author's Saving Throw:
  • Many fans feel that Dante has undergone Badass Decay as the story went along, requiring help for more and more of his fights and has yet to beat Vergil without assistance. His initial loss against Nero only added more fuel to the fire. In response, the author promised to go give him more solo fights in the first arc of Devil's Retribution and had him handily win his rematch with Nero.
  • After Chapter 34 of Devil's Retribution caused notable backlash from the decision to imply Jiemma would rape Yukino, which also unearthed unsaid criticism of Zancrow's threat to rape Wendy and Lisana as equally gratuitous, the author replied on the next chapter that while he felt justified with those decisions for his fanfic he is apologetic of being insensitive to the subject of rape and promises such content will be no longer be an element in his fanfic.
• Hypothetical Casting: The author stated he envisions Sparda being voiced by Neil Kaplan.
  • DeviantArt user DigimonAT0318 compiled a fancast of the series. Of particular note are the members of the Seven Deadly Sins. What's notable about this? Four of them (Asmodeua, Mammon, Belphegor, and Adrian) are played by VAs who previously played villains themed after the seven deadly sins.
• What Could Have Been: The author did a poll regarding the pairing options for Lucy, including Loke, Trish, remaining single, or Natsu and Lisanna. The three-way relationship won out by a landslide.
• In Memoriam:
  • Demonic Descent starts with a tribute to Stan Lee.
  • Turbulent Showdown! Dante vs Laxus is dedicated to Brad Venable, who voiced Byro in Fairy Tail and Griffon in Devil May Cry 5.
  • Battle of the Femme Fatales has a tribute to Kevin Conroy.
  • Mastermind opens with a tribute to Akira Toriyama.
• Word of God:
  • After the Edolas arc, the author posted the ages for several of the characters including:
    • Dante/Vergil - 20, Natsu - 17, Lucy - 17, Lady - 18, Gray - 18, Erza - 19, Gajeel - 20, Trish - 19 (physically), Modeus - 2000+, Wendy - 12, Lisanna - 17
    • Nero is about 16/17 in his debut.
  • Mest will not be a former member of Fairy Tail who wiped his own memory to go undercover in the Council, as the author felt that was too convoluted and added little to the story. Doranbolt is his real name, and he was always a member of the Magic Council.
  • The demons on Galaluna Island are descendants of ones who abandoned Mundus' rule, but did not wish to engage in conflict.
  • The second chapter of Devils Retribution included the rankings for the Wizard Saints from the events of Tenrou Island. They go as follows:
