Trivia / Ernest Scared Stupid

• Acting for Two: Jim Varney plays Ernest P. Worrell and his great, great, grandfather Phineas Worrell in the prologue.
• Corpsing: The little girl at the beginning of the movie who is being chased by Trantor - could also make sense in-character, as the girl knew she was leading Trantor into a trap.
• Prop Recycling: A few members of Trantor's troll henchmen are modified puppets of the titular antagonists from Killer Klowns from Outer Space. Considering the Chiodo brothers were involved with both movies, it's no wonder some of that film's assets were altered and reused for this one.
• The Red Stapler: "Authentic Bulgarian Miak," which Ernest mistakenly thinks is Trantor's weakness. It was made up for the film, but many people believed that it was a real product.
• What Could Have Been: In the original concept for this movie, the plot would've been about Ernest inheriting a haunted mansion from relatives.
