  • Approval of God: The creator company, Glowstick Entertainment, has mentioned multiple times on Twitter that they're accepting of fan-related works of the game, especially of fan games so long as they're credited.
  • Development Hell: Not as immense compared to most other games out there, but production for each chapter takes a considerable amount of time due to the team behind it being small. As of now, the longest span of time for a chapter to release (Chapter 4) is two years, especially due to the onset of Covid-19.
    • The 2014 version of the game was to be renewed once development for this version was stopped, taking 4 and a half years to finally start the game from scratch.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Penny the Chicken's original design was a panda, but was cut due to not being consistent with American animals. Aspects of the design were instead used to make Mama Bear.
    • Torment Therapy was originally going to take place in a prison, and the enemies would've been prison guards resembling either vulture guards or spider Police Pig hybrids.
    • The kickstarter page for the 2014 version of the game stated the possible inclusion of unseen enemies like minotaurs, roaches, and zombies, as well as locations like the aforementioned prison, a medieval castle, a corporate office, and outer space.
    • The Gold Watchers were originally made of stone. They also would've spoke to the player more.
    • The Clown Gremlin's original mechanic involved switching out between different weapons.
    • Doug was originally going to be a police officer named Detective Evans. The player can still find an easter egg of his name in Monkey Business. Detective Evans reappears as a playable mortal in Monsters and Mortals, using Doug's model from the Alpha version of Dark Deception.
    • Monsters and Mortals has some DLC chapters that eventually got scrapped for various reasons.
      • One chapter based on Evil Nun was planned for the game along with a remake of the game titled Evil Nun: The Broken Mask. Glowstick Entertainment would later announce that they were stepping away from The Broken Mask's developement due to other obligations, which also cancelled the DLC. Vince did state that the DLC could still happen until the game is out of its Development Hell.
      • As part of Yandere Simulator's chapter, YandereDev himself would've appeared as a playable mortal, but this was scrapped for not fitting with the rest of game.
