Trivia / Care Bears: Adventures in Care-a-Lot

Go To

  • Crossdressing Voices: Oopsy Bear (male) is voiced by Ashleigh Ball (female).
  • Portmanteau Series Nickname: The series' title is often shortened to AiCAL by the fandom.
  • Recycled Script: One episode features Cheer Bear working herself crazy trying to cheer up Grumpy Bear, much like an episode of the DIC series — but ultimately it ends up having a much different message, as she realizes that if she just left him alone to fix the broken gadget, he would have cheered up on his own once that was done.
  • Screwed by the Network: An odd case with this show that not many know of is that it was originally produced in 16:9 widescreen HD. Only the original CBS airings of the show were ever broadcast this way abit shrunken down to fit a standard 4:3 aspect ratio. However, every other broadcaster and even DVD releases around the world (even the official Care Bears YouTube channel) has the show cropped to a 4:3 ratio, leading to many fans being completely unaware that the show was formatted this way to begin with. The only DVD to feature the show in widescreen is the US release of Grizzle-ly Adventures, which contained two direct-to-video episodes, yet its sister DVD: Ups and Downs, is cropped. It's unknown if digital download services, including Netflix or Prime Video have either the 16:9 or 4:3 prints.
  • Unspecified Role Credit: The credits don’t list which characters the actors voiced.
  • You Look Familiar:
    • Tracey Moore, who voiced Cheer Bear and Baby Hugs in the 80s series, returns to the franchise, but as Share Bear, while Cheer and Hugs are voiced by Tabitha St. Germain and Abby Jacobs, respectively.
    • Speaking of whom, Tabitha St. Germain, who voiced Swift Heart in the 80s series (credited as Paulina Gillis), returns to the franchise as Cheer Bear, while Swift Heart is Adapted Out.
