  • Promoted Fanboy:
    • Shaun Foist was a fan before joining the band in 2014.
    • "Blow Me Away" appearing in Halo 2 could also count as this, as Ben is a huge fan of the Halo series.
    • Derek Hough who provides the backing vocals of "The Dark of You" is also a fan who previously covered "Ashes of Eden".
  • Write What You Know:
    • When he was younger Ben suffered from depression and self destructive tendencies which lead him to try to drink himself to death. Songs like Away, Water, Dance With The Devil, Never Again are about his experiences with his addiction. Due to his excess drinking, he suffers from health problems.
