• A Good Name for a Rock Band: As he was explaining details about his story, Strypgia said:
  "He believes that Rei and the Dummy Plugs (Oooh, must copyright that band name!) will be sufficient to that task."
• Ascended Fanon: A fan omake detailing the collapse of FAR civilization and the history of Adam and Lilith as Star-Crossed Lovers who Cannot Spit It Out was made canon during the fight against Arael when Rei ended up accessing Lilith's memories.
• Bonus Material: The Sufficient Velocity thread includes many comedic omakes written by the author and other fans. Wacky hijinks include Rei getting drunk and her friends trying to cover it up, Asuka singing awfully and Shinji praising her because he is the one has to sleep with her, and Gendo dropping acid and seeing lizards crawling on the walls of his office.
  • One particularly prolific (in-thread) series of bonuses is Chronicles, an entire divergent fic series that takes place after a divergent/alternate ending to the main story, in which the characters react to various works ala MST3K (movies, anime, fanfics, manga and video games, to name a few mediums) that start getting mysteriously dropped through rifts into their world. The first thing they get is the complete Evangelion on laserdisc — the original version, which does not diverge at the kiss scene as A&T does.
• Follow the Leader: This story caused a small but noticeable surge of Eva fanfictions appearing on to the forum where it was first posted. There's a reason the "This is all Strypgias fault" tag has three pages.
• I Just Write the Thing: The author has repeatedly expressed surprise at turns the story has taken, most notably the fact that Rei fell in love with Asuka and Shinji.
• Schedule Slip: Upon Strypgia enrolling in the army, updates became much less frequent. And because both Real Life and Neon Genesis Evangelion showing War Is Hell, fans started fearing for Strypgia's life.
