With over 67 contestants and counting, Battle for Dream Island will obviously have a few stinkers.

    Battle for Dream Island (Again)
  • Donut was initially disliked due to his surly, irritable nature in the first two episodes of BFDIA and having little redeeming qualities otherwise. Needless to say, he was the first to be voted off. Eventually averted come BFB: while he's still rather crabby, he's also given some redeeming traits (such as when he motivates Team Ice Cube! to win the third challenge and when he expresses distaste for the other contestants climbing Bell's string against her will) and is overall nowhere near as unpleasant as he used to be.
  • Match became really hated around BFDIA for her being very condescending and ungrateful (like criticizing Gelatin after the latter has saved her life at the cost of his own), and placed dead last in several YouTubers' character rankings (one even called her the second worst character in object show history). The fandom's hatred for her toned down in IDFB (she received the most votes to be freed from the TLC due to fans feeling sorry for her, as earlier in the episode Pencil speaks about her rather dismissively) and BFB, but spiked again after BFB 8, where Match berates and demotes Bubble for failing at the quiz despite not knowing the answers herself. Many viewers mistakenly voted for her due to Stapy cheating and nearly putting iance up for elimination, and when iance lost in BFB 11, she was promptly voted off, even though she gave a Freudian Excuse for her behavior and genuinely regretted lashing out at Bubble.
  • Snowball is largely disliked by the fanbase due to his Jerkass nature, Too Dumb to Live moments, and being a hindrance to his team (especially in BFDI 9). To make matters worse, he got saved from being eliminated due to the much more well-liked Teardrop being eliminated instead of him in BFDI 10, even though he received almost four times the amount of votes as her. He receives a measly 8 votes to rejoin late in the competition, and of all the original contestants, he receives the least votes to join BFDIA. He still doesn’t have the best reputation in BFB, what with him berating Bubble in BFB 8 and breaking Fanny on a whim in BFB 11.
  • Woody had two eras where he wasn't particularly popular — when he was nothing but an unintelligible coward back in BFDI whose only character traits were being afraid of everything, and the brief portion of BFB where Blocky influenced him into being a carbon copy deadly prankster. After Flower, Blocky, and Spongy all rejoined the game, he was left dead last in BFDI's rankings.

    Battle for BFDI
  • Eggy, being that she blamed Clock for getting their team up for elimination in BFB 6 even though it wasn't under anyone's control and for generally being a Flat Character. Acting nice up until someone even does as much as slightly irritate her - as Teardrop and Barf Bag found out the hard way in BFB 1 - does not help matters, and the BFB 13 poll confirmed her as the least favored character.
  • Firey Jr. quickly became a hated character after his unhelpfulness in challenges due to small size was evident, on top of how callous he is towards his teammates. The fact that he's just a smaller copy of Firey doesn't help. He is his own creator's least favorite character.
  • Foldy was initially more of an Ensemble Dark Horse, but after Stapy's elimination and the subsequent Roaring Rampage of Revenge she became one of the most infamous characters in the fandom, though not to the extent of Loser.
  • Loser may be well-loved among all the other contestants, but among viewers, he is disliked for being a Flat Character who causes other contestants on his team to lose their personality due to them loving him so much, and those same contestants always rely on him to solve their problems in competitions. Not only all that, but his voice is absolutely awful. Unsurprisingly, he gained a record-breaking amount of votes the moment The Losers had their first elimination. However, his elimination managed to be heartbreaking enough to make people regret voting him. However, he was quickly re-eliminated after rejoining post-split.
  • In a bout of ironic wraparound, whereas Match went from hated in BFDIA to well-liked in BFB, Pencil went from being a fan-favorite in the first three seasons to a contestant that nearly nobody likes in BFB thanks to her status as alliance leader being cranked up to eleven. Instead of staying faithful to her alliance members, she berates them when they go against her word. Instead of coming up with carefully crafted plans, she now runs on instinct and is willing to hurt anyone she finds a nuisance. And instead of Match being considered a needy (HNNGH) deadweight on the alliance while Pencil led them down the right path, Pencil is now seen as a callous, unsympathetic leader that ended up being a bad influence on poor, poor Match.
  • Roboty, due to him only speaking in Morse Code and doing very little in the competition. He's also notable for getting the least votes in BFDI's debut, the least amount of votes to rejoin BFB, being in the bottom 3 in both of the eliminations he was in, and ranking a dismal 57th place to join BFDIA.
  • Aside from him, Robot Flower was dreaded among the community, mainly simply due to being a robotic version of Flower, who is not exactly a likable base for her design. Despite the fact that she improved her behavior in future episodes, she still consistently ranks low in predictions.
  • Remember when Rocky was arguably the most liked contestant on the show? In BFB, Rocky has generally been thrown to the wayside by viewers in favor of more complex contestants. He now generally places rather low in most TPOT predictions, alongside the aforementioned Eggy and TV.
  • Spongy's popularity took a nosedive after he crossed the Moral Event Horizon in BFB 14 by leaving his team to die in the lava flood that he instigated because they failed to recognise him in BFB 12, despite their remorse and the fact that Donut sacrificed himself minutes beforehand to get him out of harm's way. Unsurprisingly, he got the most votes to be eliminated in BFB 16, but he remained competing because he couldn't get sucked in, much to fans' displeasure - and as soon as the Have Nots were up for elimination in post-split BFB, he was gone.
  • TV is not well-liked for his static behavior and lack of a defined personality.
