- Despite not being fully featured in the comic, one can't help but feel sorry for Camilla for being judged and limited by her reputation when really the poor girl just wanted to find true love.
- In one of the side comics, after getting into a disagreement with Daphne over boys, Daphne begins to throw Camilla's reputation of sleeping around at her face, accuses her of "giving girls a bad name", and sums up the whole thing by saying it's pathetic. The look on Camilla's face after this says it all.
- The "Silhouette" music video (set to the Owl City song of the same name), shows us that not even Spam is immune to this trope. The more I feel alone... - In the "Bad Luck Jack" short, Zill tries to help Jack with his bad luck, but gets his hand hurt because of a wrecking ball hitting him, causing Jack to run off in guilt, and he has a whole musical number about how part of him wishes, despite his loneliness if it were to actually happen, that his friends would leave him for their own safety, and how he tries to act like he’s fine.
