A few seconds later, Unico emerges from the puppet forms of Cheri and her brother and instantly begins crying as her voice echoes inside his head. Even sadder is that this was the final time Unico and Cheri ever interacted before the titular foal gets separated once again.
- Given the combination of his abandonment-laden backstory and the "killed with kindness" aspect of his death, Kuruku manages to pull this off in the second movie.Kuruku: My hatred was the only thing that kept me alive. You've taken it from me... I have nothing left! But for the first time in my life - I can hardly say it. I feel good!

- Even the movie's credits music is extra melancholy and somberer.
