Comic
- After the squad's first battle with the Shades, Nimbus announces to the Wind Warriors that he's planning on making the tough decision to step down as captain. While this decision was to lure Cyclone into showing his true colors, it resulted in the death of his own lieutenant, Stratos.
- Stratos' went out in a brutal, albeit non-graphic way. He slowly succumbed to being poisoned by Cyclone before he is strangled and crystalized by the Shades.
Main Story
- During the retrieval of Omegaton's first orb at the destroyed trailer park, everyone was proud of their accomplishments except for the leader himself, Zephyr. He questions if his mission is actually worth continuing if it costs the destruction of civilization. He is comforted by Nimbus, who reminds him that his fellow comrades won't look up to a doubtful leader. This reminder encourages Zephyr to rally the troops together for the promise of help rebuilding post-mission.
- The intro cinematic Showdown with Omegaton, the final level of the game reveals the the orbs that Zephyr had collected were used to enslave and trap the Fire Flyers within them. Omegaton had been using them against their will for power.
- Stone Stompers and Water Whirls, convinced they were aiding Zephyr with their destructive abilities in capturing Fire Flyers, were tragically manipulated into believing Omegaton's own lies. Banished to Earth by Omegaton for eons, they had long forgotten their true purpose.
