Tear Jerker / The Blind Side

• The entire beginning montage of Mike adjusting to the new school, being completely out of depth and isolated. You can feel how lonely he is like a physical punch.
• More depressing rather than tearjerk-y: Tuohy's friends making racist comments about Mike is a realistic sense of how someone's friends turn out to ignorant, snobby assholes.
• Leigh Anne going to visit Michael's biological mother, who refuses to see him and breaks down crying.
• Mike's argument with Leigh Anne and immediate storming off when it's strongly implied that the Touhys have been manipulating him.
• Leigh Anne crying when Mike goes off to college.
