Episode 3Episode 5
  • Madoka feels a little concerned in school remembering that her father said that aliens cannot sympathize with aliens, and this gets worse when she sees Prunce and Fuwa. Indeed this causes Madoka to lose focus on the bullseye.
Episode 9
  • Madoka is starting to be less focused than ever due to the guilt of keeping a secret about having alien friends. The guilt is starting to put a strain on her archery skill, and she questions if she can be a Precure under a strained lifestyle.
Episode 10
  • The ending of Episode 10. Not only did the girls fail to get the Aries Star Princess Pen before the Notraiders did, but they lost the Taurus Pen at the same time.
Episode 11
  • Instead of the usual opening, we are treated to Hikaru's sad recollection of the misadventure from the previous ep.
  • The cures are devastated that the Rocket took a beating and was seen. Just how clear Hikaru expresses her guilt is heartwrenching.
Episode 13
  • Lala feels hurt having screwed up at school without the AI glove to tell her stuff. Yep, cue the montage where Lala listens to the glove. She has to drop her Verbal Tic. It's like she is being assimilated by a push factor.
Episode 14
  • Touma's situation in this episode: He feels distanced from both his friends (who find his family weird) and his family (who don't see his pain). This episode might especially hit home people of mixed-race parentage who have felt the same way that Touma does.
Episode 16
  • Madoka fears about her performance in the competition. The peer pressure Nasu inflicts on her makes her slip.
Episode 17
  • Prunce chews out Blue Cat for being a thief pretending to be an idol and cries like a baby. It's so bad Blue Cat turning to Mao is all it takes to convince Prunce to cooperate when he's asked to be a rope. Turns to Narm when Prunce drops his Mao memorabilia.
Episode 18
  • The flashback reveals that Terumi is very stressed by being picked in such a haste. It's even worse when Terumi overhears a lot of bad stuff about her manga behind her back.
Episode 19
  • Blue Cat singlehandedly undoes all of the work the Cures have done by stealing their pens. She also kidnaps Fuwa, making things go From Bad to Worse.
Episode 20
  • Look at all the people in the temple.
  • "Not like there's anything on this planet to begin with. The river's dry and the sea life's gone. Still have the rainbow ore I guess."
  • The Planet Rainbow flashback after we get to the part where the planet is about to be destroyed.
Episode 24
  • Yuni has flashback of Olifio.
Episode 25
  • Two PTSD flashbacks of Yuni when she sees the hoshimatsuri poster.
Episode 27
  • Aiwarn calling out Cure Cosmo for being deceiving gives Cosmo the freeze.
Episode 28
  • Elena and Madoka falling into despair when they are no longer able to move the bellows, believing they let the team down.
  • The backstory of Flare-san moving to a water planet.
Episode 29
  • Lala's despair being in the lowest rank and job compared to the rest of her family. They often tell her to leave the hard work to them.
    • Taken up to 11 when it is found they've been researching the Pretty Cures, unknowingly Lala is one of them.
    • Especially upsetting is that they're clearly trying to be supportive, and probably don't even realize they're coming across as patronizing and threatening to the Precure's mission.
Episode 30
  • AI saying her final goodbyes to the girls before being shut down by Aiwarn's attack after she sacrificed herself to save them.
Episode 31
  • Toppa's regret at not being able to save the Star Princesses.
Episode 32
  • Galogre's backstory of how his planet, and all his loved ones, were destroyed before joining the Notraiders.
  • Galogre's story gives Cure Cosmo another PTSD freeze which causes her to be taken out by him pretty easily.
Episode 33
  • Fuwa getting upset and crying after Hikaru calls her selfish for disrupting everyone's work because she wants to find the Twinkle Imagination.
  • She blames herself that Yeti becomes the next Victim of the Week after she gets attacked by Kappard.
    • She apologises to all the cures when they all come to check if she is okay.
Episode 34
  • Elena getting upset when Saboro gets mad at her and storms off after she tries giving him a yellow rose. She blames herself for not realizing that, to a Plant Alien, selling flowers must look like a form of slavery.
Episode 35
  • Madoka looks pretty hurt and worried when she hears Hikaru is trying to be like her to win the election. She revealed she wanted Hikaru to do it her own way and not be like her
  • Hikaru's grandmother shows real concern for her obsessive behaviour about winning the election (which becomes an eye opener for Hikaru).
Episode 37
  • Kappard's backstory of his world being destroyed and drained of all its water.
Episode 38
  • The start of Aiwarn's backstory and how she first met the Notraiders.
Episode 39
  • Elena's backstory of how she was an outcast and alone during elementary school.
Episode 40
  • Lala's classmates keeping their distance from her when they have reason to believe she is an alien. It's terrifyingly realistic that a rumor is all it takes for Lala's classmates, her apparent friends, to think the worst of her.
    • Sakurako and Tatsunori confront Hikaru about this, which causes Lala to run away crying before Hikaru can comfort her.
Episode 41
  • Madoka's depression when she learns her father will be transferring her to a school in London and she can no longer see her friends.
Episode 42
  • Elena's stress about not figuring out what she wants to do with her life yet.
  • Madoka's concern for Elena when she senses something is wrong.
  • Elena's mother sharing with her how her smile has not been genuine when she helps her family after becoming a Giant Nottorei which becomes an eye opener for her.
Episode 43
  • Tenjo's backstory about her not fitting in on her home planet and feeling alone because she didn't have a long nose like the rest of her species, i.e. being ostracized for a birth defect she had no choice in, something a lot of people have suffered.
  • The end of the episode, Elena starts crying due to finding it stressful trying to make everyone smile.
Episode 45
  • Hikaru feeling like she is falling behind compared to the rest of her friends which starts frustrating her.
Episode 47
  • Prunce breaking down into tears after Fuwa is captured.
Episode 48
  • Hikaru's emotional breakdown after Fuwa's sacrifice.
    • She looks so broken, especially after seeing that the sacrifice did nothing to stop Ophiuchus, who proceeds to erase the universe.
    • There's an additional Fridge Horror / tearjerker regarding her breakdown, too; shortly after revealing that she went through Fuwa's attack unscathed, Ophiuchus then rubs in to Hikaru's face that her fears of losing Fuwa was the factor that prevented the sacrifice to be completed. Now imagine being in Hikaru's place that time— having to confront the fact that the sacrifice of someone you cared about ended up being All for Nothing, and that it was mostly your fault. Somebody give the poor girl a hug!
  • Hikaru struggling to cope with abandoning Fuwa when they revive her.
  • Lala losing her ability to communicate to Hikaru when she tries to say goodbye to her.
    • According to the voice actresses, they were genuinely crying when recording this scene, both due to the emotion of the scene itself and the realization that they wouldn’t be meeting regularly anymore after a year of working together on the show.
