- Episode 4 has Roxy using Ravi's feelings for her against him by dangling a big Hope Spot in front of him in the form of trying to free her when she was planning on trying to turn him into an Avatar as well.
- In episode 7, two of the beast bots are without their personalities and Jax overhears Zoey thinking he is careless. He shows her that her tablet was just hidden by her coat accidentally... and on top of that, the reason why the robots were distracted on that day? They were wanting to surprise the Rangers for being friends
- Episode 9 has General Burke dismissive of Steel throughout the entire episode until Blaze and Roxy show up with his children tied up in exchange for Steel. Before the General can figure out what to do, Steel steps up and decides to turn himself in, stating that rangers help those in need. As he's being taken to the cybergate so that Evox can use him, Nate breaks down in front of the General and states that he can't lose Steel. Dude...
- Episode 13 has a small one when we see Ravi's sketchpad, which includes several sketches of himself and Roxy. After everything that's happened, he's still in love and looking for a way to save her.
- Episode 19 has Mayor Daniels get a double tear-jerker: Not only does he learn his son's identity (after having previously criticized Devon for his strange behavior), he also can only watch helplessly as Devon and the Morph-X tower get transported to Cyber Dimension.
- At the start of Season 2, Devon appears to finally be on good terms with his father. Except that his father has been secretly possessed by Evox since the end of Season 1. And although the story line doesn't come up much until the mid-season finale, it's pretty gut-wrenching to see Devon being so cruelly deceived.
- In episode 8 of Season 2, The Rangers, particularly Devon are horrified when they finally discover that Mayor Daniels has been possessed by Evox the whole time.
- Episode 18 sees Blaze being extremely dismissive to the Beast Bots, treating them like nothing more than tools for the rangers to use, and he's especially mean to Cruise due to his bad sense of direction being a liability in Blaze's eyes. His plan also almost gets Cruise killed, and Devon has to carefully carry him away from Zord wreckage and watch as the Bot's voice and systems fluctuate in and out. And after all this, Blaze is still dismissive of Cruise's efforts, though at this point it's revealed it was Robo-Blaze masquerading as him the whole episode, which only makes things a little better.
- All the above is brutally blown away by Episode 19 of Season 2, in which Evox reveals that not only is he a reincarnation of Venjix, but that years ago Nate released him into the world by combining snake DNA and Morph-X with the Venjix-infected cell-shift morpher. Following this revelation, Nate goes through one massive Heroic BSoD and is driven to the point of absolute despair.Evox/Venjix: Now tell me, boy genius...how does it feel to be responsible for the destruction of human civilisation? *sadistically blasts Nate*
- And of course, the following and final episode manages to get several in.
- At the start, Zoey's mom reports that the city is being evacuated, but Grid Battleforce will be staying behind to help fight Evox. Once the report is done, she practically begs Commander Shaw to let her daughter evacuate since she's just in laundry and wouldn't be any help in the coming fight. Fortunately it turns to heartwarming once Zoey gets the OK to reveal herself to her mom, and the two have a heart to heart before Muriel gives Zoey her blessing.
- During a fight against Evox's last few Robotrons, Steel spots the anti-virus arrow and chases after Evox to finish him off. He manages to stab Evox with it, but gets blasted by him in the process. Not only does Steel perish, but it turns out to be a Senseless Sacrifice since Evox has already powered himself up with all the Morph-X...and possibly the full power of the Morphin' Grid itself...
Steel: I tried my best. I'm sorry...brother...- Nate is close to breaking down into tears at that, and has to be restrained by the other rangers. As if he had enough to worry about.
- Following that, Devon has to address the remaining Grid Battleforce members to let them know that Steel has been killed, and you can tell everyone is getting choked up that one of the rangers has actually died.Devon: Grid Battleforce, this is Devon Daniels, Red Ranger. Today our team of five Power Rangers went out against Evox. Only four returned. When no one else could Steel made the choice; fight Evox alone... now he's gone. Evox has gained more and more strength. You worked hard to hold on. But it's time for Grid Battleforce to evacuate. Like Steel, the Power Rangers will stay and fight and defeat Evox if we can.
- Becomes MASSIVELY heartwarming a moment later when, after being told to get out while they still can, all of Grid Battleforce, Mayor Daniels, and Zoey's mother decide to stay and help in any way they can.
