In one of Minthe's earliest appearances, she is straddling Hades, both are naked... then she calls him a piece of shit. And he agrees, with tears in his eyes.
The Reveal that Hades is infertile makes that scene a whole lot more tragic.
In a flashback set just before the start of the webcomic, Minthe finds an engagement ring in Hades' coat pocket while looking for a lighter. We see her spiral into a panic attack at the thought of having to be Queen, terrified of the pressure and well aware that the Olympians look down on her as just a trashy nymph. Later, when she thinks that Persephone may steal Hades out from under her, her jealousy rears its head as she realizes that she doesn't want Hades to leave her — she actually wants to stay with him, as messed up and dysfunctional as the two of them are. She's so unused to love, that when Hades comforts her she is unable to deal with it and freaks out, begging him to be as awful as she is. Despite how awful Minthe has been the entire comic, it was enough for some readers to come to her side.
Hades, overall, is a full-blown Woobie in this story. Despite the abuse he gets from Minthe, he bears it because of his dark past (involving being eaten by his own father, and being shunted to the Underworld by his own brother for being chummy with his wife) having, in his own eyes, messed him up so badly he doesn't know if he deserves a loving and stable relationship. Hades’ knows that he’s in love with Persephone, but fears he’s not good enough for her due to their age gap, her scholarship at Hestia’s organization making her an eternal virgin, and his toxic relationship with Minthe just screwed him up with romance THAT badly. He even tells Hera that he's a failure to her as a marriage goddess since she couldn't find a good spouse for him.
In chapter 141 Hera sheds tears after seeing the photos that Apollo took of Persephone while he raped her, the very photos he was using to blackmail her if she told anyone about what he did.
The deaths of Krokos and Withy, two flower nymphs that were Persephone's best friends. Even Demeter gets teary-eyed remembering their deaths during Persephone's trial.
In chapter 113 is a special one after confronting Apollo about dating Daphne and only using her for not wanting an relationship with him in the first place Persephone threatens to tell someone about him raping her. However Apollo blackmails and even sends her the photos of the night in question threatening that he will show them to everyone if she were tell anyone which causes her to break down in tears and run away.
Chapter 204: Persephone's nightmare when she initially enters the dreamworld could be considered the Bad Future of Lore Olympus, at least for her: in it, she and Apollo are married, him having used her powers as a Fertility Goddess to overthrow Zeus. Persephone in this version is meek and subservient, little more than a trophy for Apollo to trot out in front of the crowds, and not even allowed to speak for herself. Worst of all though, it's heavily implied that Apollo's abusive overuse of her powers is killing her, and she's already weak enough to the point where she can barely stand. Even Leto seems disturbed by her son's treatment of her. Fortunately, she realizes it's a dream fairly quickly and breaks loose, but it's an extremely uncomfortable look into the lingering trauma Persephone still feels after all these years.
During an awards ceremony, it's hinted that Hera moved out after Persephone's trial and Artemis decides to go to the mortal world during the timeskip instead of staying on Olympus. Zeus, who recently discovered his connection with Artemis, is saddened.
