Tear Jerker / Jungle Cubs

• Winifred leaving her uncle to escape from a fire at the beginning of "Hathi Meets His Match".
  Winifred's Uncle: She shall never survive the jungle alone.
  • Fortunately, the end of the episode shows Winifred reuniting with her uncle.
• Mungo the Mongoose was abandoned by his mother, leaving him all lone with no one to protect him. At least, not until Kaa comes along.
  • It doesn't help that the first time we see Mungo, he is bawling his eyes out.
• "Trunks for the Memories":
  • The episode focuses on Hathi's best friend, Johar, having to move away with his family due to their supply of food running out.
  Johar: What'll we do, Hathi?
  Hathi: We could run away! We could hide!
  (Louie, Bagheera and Baloo show up)
  Hathi: (Tearing up) We could... be... brief... Johar... You have to stay with your family. So... so...
  Johar: So... I have to go, don't I?
  • Baloo, Louie and Bagheera all being just as sad as Hathi, if not more.
  Bagheera: I hate messy goodbyes!
