  • Episode 31 hits us with a flashback to when three year old Akazukin's village is attacked. In the aftermath, Akazukin finds an injured wolf who would later become her closest friend. The villagers angrily urge her to drive him away, as it was his race, the Lycans who attacked the village. but with tears in her eyes, this three year old who just lost her parents, and supposedly her best friend, who is secretly the very wolf lying beside her. stands up for injured wolf, bringing tears to even his eyes.

  • Episode 32: Worried that Randagio will be thrown in the dungeon by Cendrillon for constantly screwing up his orders, the Bremen gang willfully turn themselves into Nightmarens. When Randagio takes them to attack the heroes, however, it turns out that their bodies aren't compatible with the transformation, and they begin breaking down. Shirayuki tells Randagio that she and Akazukin can reverse the transformation with a healing spell and turn them back to normal...at the cost of their memories. Randagio reluctantly tells them to go through with it, and they do. Sure enough, when the Bremen gang come to, they've lost their memories, and they don't even recognize Randagio. The poor cat is left bawling his eyes out, trying to get them to remember, but is persuaded to let them go by Hamelin and Souta. Seriously, poor Randagio needed a hug after that episode.

  • Hansel finally breaking out of Cendrillon's mind control in episode 33 is both this and a Heartwarming Moment.

  • The end of episode 36: Souta has finally reunited with his mother, Sayo - also known as Sylphine - who's been Brainwashed and Crazy as Trude this entire time. Not only that, she's revealed to have been one of the original Seven Sages who originally sealed Cendrillon. However, the reunion gets cut short by Cendrillon downright torturing Akazukin and friends before Sylphine pulls a Heroic Sacrifice and is blasted into a void by Cendrillon, who declares that she has no use for her now that she's no longer Trude. This causes Souta to suffer a massive Heroic BSoD and his key power awakens as a result, which is what Cendrillon was trying to do in the first place. Sylphine does get better in the penultimate episode, but still...
    • The reactions from the rest of the cast to Sylphine's Heroic Sacrifice are just as sad. Shirayuki is left speechless, covering her mouth in shock, and Ringo lets out a Big "NO!" as Cendrillon laughs in everyone's face. Aside from Souta's own reaction, though, the most heartbreaking has to be King Ferdinand's reaction, if only by the way he says Sylphine's name in shock. It doesn't sound just like voice acting - He sounds utterly heartbroken.

  • Cendrillon's backstory. She was once a sweet girl from Fandavale named Maleen, who fell in love with a boy from Elde. Of course, being from different worlds, the two had to separate, but promised to see each other again. However, by the time Maleen is able to return to Elde and meet him again, she finds out that he's completely forgotten about her and is with another girl. The revelation causes her to make a Face-Heel Turn and become a witch. One day, when a large band of villagers attempt to arrest her for her crimes, she retaliates and attacks them in turn. Then she sees her former lover among the crowd, and she accidentally hits him with a blast of magic, killing him in the process. Even sadder is that he knows that he forgot about her, and ended up taking the blast for the villagers, believing it to be his punishment for forgetting about her. This causes Maleen to go completely off the deep end and transform into Cendrillon, further solidifying that the kind, sweet Maleen is gone forever.
