Tear Jerker / Blue Beetle (2023)

• Jaime tells his father that he feels like a failure because he feels he wasted the opportunity that his family worked so hard to give him.
• Milagro sums up the general situation for Hispanics living in the general DCEU Florida Keys. She's not really upset over it, but she doesn't see things improving for her family or community.
  "You're a Mexican in the Edge Keys, cabron! Progress is not for us, okay? The poor go over here and the rich go over there, until the rich want to be here and they push us out! We used to have the other side of the tracks, and now they want that too!"
• Alberto dying from cardiac arrest after Victoria’s goons attack the family, which also happens as Jaime is being taken by her, so he is Forced to Watch helplessly as his father dies. Even worse is how Alberto tempted fate at the beginning of the film after he survived his first (offscreen) heart attack. That one of his final actions is to try to reassure Milagro when they’re both on the ground held at gun point before that counts as both this and Awesome.
• Khaji-Da showing Jaime Carapax’s memories, from watching his mother get killed by a Kord Industries bomb to becoming a child soldier for Victoria and being experimented on so he would become her weapon. It convinces Jaime not to kill Carapax.
• After the day is saved, Nana tells the rest of the family that they can finally mourn Alberto's death. They all start breaking down into tears. Nana also signals to Jenny to join them, which also counts as Heartwarming.
• Not much is known about the relationship between Victoria and Ted other than the fact the fact the latter was the Black Sheep of the family who was given control of their father’s company simply because he was male. Presumably, Ted didn’t have much of a happy childhood considering Victoria is always making condescending remarks about him whenever she brings him up as well as doing everything she can to ruin the legacy he left behind out of spite. This is a complete contrast to the Reyes family, who always stick together no matter what.
