An Extraordinary Journey
- Hera's death. As far as Athena was concerned, her sister was the only good thing in her life. Having Hera murdered in front of her breaks her.
- To heap more pain on Athena, Sineya having the demon forced into her, transforming her into the First Slayer. It changes a bright, caring, gentle girl into an animalistic hunter of demons.
- When the Ascended send Willow to a reality with no Stargate program, Faith goes to the Powers That Be to ask if they can bring Willow back. They offer to do so, but only if Faith agrees to return to being a Slayer full time and allow everyone's memories to be rewritten so that the only one who would ever remember Faith and Willow as a couple was Faith. She refuses, but her utter devastation is heart-wrenching.
- Certain scenes from Faith's backstory. Probably best shown in this quote from one of her mother's clients."How much for the girl?”
Aftermath of a Mirror Journey
- Tara has been getting dream warnings about Janet Frasier dying on an upcoming mission, so she gives her some magical protection. It works, but Willow winds up taking a staff blast instead. By saving her friend, Tara has killed her One True Love.
- But, wait! The Asgard have arrived! She was Only Mostly Dead, so they can quickly clone her a new body and transfer her consciousness to it. But, in so doing, her memories of being Athena return and suppress her memories of being Willow. Not only can “Athena” not remember Tara, she hates her because she practices magic and has some Furling ancestry.
- By Chapter 55, Faith's life has turned around. She's now the Slayer on the Hellmouth, and she's been officially adopted by Joyce, though she hasn't yet called her “Mom”. Then she comes down stairs the day after Joyce went on a date.“Mrs. S?" whispered Faith as she took a few steps towards the couch on her trembling legs, "Mrs. S?"Faith walked up to Joyce's body with tears welling in her eyes as she looked at the blank stare that the older blonde returned to her. "Mrs. S?" asked Faith again as her heart raced inside her chest, "mom?"
