- In Chapter 70, Hank Summers doesn’t turn up for Buffy’s wedding, so Giles steps in.Giles: I’m sorry your father couldn’t give you away, my dear.Buffy: My father is giving me away.
- When Willow and Faith discover Joyce Summers alive on another planet (she was taken by Loki and the Joyce that died was her clone), Joyce immediately introduces her new children, Jay and Rose, to their 'Aunts'.
- Likewise, Buffy and Dawn are overjoyed to meet their new little siblings once Willow reveals Joyce is alive.
