  • The Faceless:
    • Luka's first appearance at the end of "Reflekta" has his head above the panel, preventing readers from seeing it.
    • Zoé's first appearance at the end of "Frightningale" has her only seen from either behind or from the mouth down.
  • Face Palm:
    • Alix does this in "The Pharaoh" as her father screams that the exposition at the Louvre is about Tutankhamun, not the Miraculous.
    • This is Chat Noir's reaction when Scarlet Lady ruins their attempt to stealthily ambush Rogercop.
    • Hawkmoth can't help but do this when Kung Food's minions get cheese crumbs in Marinette's eyes after he specifically told them not to harm her, knowing that Chat Noir's Berserk Button has now been pressed. AGAIN.
    • Marigold has this reaction after Scarlet Lady unwittingly leads Riposte right to where Adrien had been hidden.
    • Master Fu reacts this way during "Syren" when Chat Noir justifies his decision to reveal the Guardian's existence to Marigold without express permission by playing the friendship card.
  • Failed a Spot Check:
    • After Stormy Weather shows up at the park, Marinette is so focused on comforting Manon that she doesn't notice Adrien transforming into Chat Noir right behind her.
    • Chloé completely misses the fact that the reason the Bubbler agreed to play a slow song was for Adrien to dance with Marinette, not her.
    • Parodied in "Lady Wifi" when Marinette immediately recognizes that the titular akuma is Alya while Nino wonders how she can possibly tell. Marinette stares at him in disbelief since Lady Wifi visibly resembles Alya and talks like her, too. She finally deadpans that it's because of her phone charm, to which Nino responds, "Whoa, you're right," not realizing Marinette was being sarcastic. Adrien can barely restrain himself from laughing at his friend's obliviousness.
    • Marinette gets another turn at this in "Mr. Pigeon" when Officer Roger gets mobbed and carried away right next to her while she's busy sketching.
    • Multiple cases in "The Pharaoh":
      • Nobody notices the black butterfly fluttering past as Scarlet Lady and Adrien try to figure out where the Ladybug/Black Cat artifacts are.
      • Alix and Marinette fail to notice Adrien ducking around a corner to transform.
      • Adrien, Marinette, and Alix walk right by the display of Chat Noir-related statuary (large black cats with whiskers like Plagg's) while the former discusses how he suspects his friend lied to him about there being anything related to the superhero there.
    • It takes three months for Gabriel to discover that his son has started wearing a ring. Adrien is utterly unimpressed when he finally comments on it.
    • Many cases of this in "Volpina":
      • Lila completely misses that Marinette, Nino, and Alix are mortified about her apparently knowing Scarlet Lady, even though they are standing right behind her. Alya, Rose, and Kim also don't notice.
      • Like in canon, Plagg completely misses the Peacock Brooch despite it being visibly stored with the Grimoire in Gabriel's safe.
      • Both Lila and Chloé miss Adrien's not-so-happy facial expression when asked if he likes Scarlet Lady (though in Chloé 's case, [[I Reject Your Reality she may instead be actively ignoring it)]).
      • Defied when Plagg informs Adrien the first chance he gets that Gabriel's book is gone and that Lila took it.
    • While sabotaging Wang Cheng's soup in "Kung Food," Chloé tells Tikki to shut up; she's surprised when the Kwami actually does, though she doesn't notice Tikki writhing around on the counter in discomfort, revealing the Kwami only shut up because she was forced to. Chloé later also fails to notice Kung Food's brainwashed slaves sneaking up right behind her due to being too distracted talking on her phone.
    • In "Vanisher," Chloé's butler doesn't wake her up, she doesn't have any breakfast because her father suddenly called a staff meeting, she has to go to school by herself after her driver doesn't show up to take her there, and neither the teacher nor the class makes note of her late arrival. It isn't until her father declares her missing on live TV that she realizes she's been turned invisible and that all her father's employees have been looking for her.
    • On a rooftop with almost no cover, Riposte looks right at Adrien, demanding that he not run away from fighting her. Somehow, Marigold gets him away without Riposte making a move or saying anything, implying the akuma was distracted by Scarlet Lady making a speech, declaring, "Come, my prince, I'll take you far away from this dangerous girl."
    • A couple instances in "Syren":
      • Implied. While Alya has no idea where Adrien or Marinette got off to, Juleka knows that the latter intentionally left, telling Luka that she went to get help.
      • After diving into the water Syren used to flood the city, Kim doesn't notice the akuma's fin approaching him from behind. In addition, he doesn't recognize Syren as Ondine until she brings up her failed confession attempt and shows off her bracelet.
    • In "Silencer":
      • Played for Laughs when Roth's security team fails to notice Luka and Marinette slipping right behind them as they criticize Ivan's "akuma costume"; Luka and Marinette are even giggling at the guards' obliviousness as they sneak into the building.
      • Chloé is so busy trying to convince Luka to go solo that she completely fails to notice him being contacted by Hawkmoth, only looking over just in time to see him flipping her the double bird as he's akumatized.
      • Bob fails to notice Chat Noir pointing a live camera towards him while bragging about how Silencer failed to expose his plagiarism to the world.
    • Nobody at Luka and Juleka's birthday party notices Adrien and Marinette sneaking away to transform.
    • Several cases of this "Party Crasher" as well:
      • Played for Drama when Kim doesn't seem to notice that the rest of the guys are growing increasingly concerned that the party is getting out of control with complete strangers showing up.
      • As the girls are taking cover from the fight, neither Lila, Sabrina, nor Alix see to notice that the other four girls are all struggling to contain their frustration; they want to join the fight but can't without leaving the group and raising suspicions about their secret identities.
      • The boys play music loud enough to register a noise complaint before random adults start trickling in, which then turns their private bash into a wild party. Chloé somehow completely fails to notice any of this despite it happening just across the street from her. Not even the titular akuma showing up gets her attention, requiring Sabrina to barge into Chloé's room and yell at her to kick the butt of her "lazy so-called best friend" into gear.
    • Multiple characters do this in "Frightningale":
      • Scarlet Lady is so pleased that the heroes and the temps are keeping Frightningale busy that she doesn't realize Sabrina is recording her lazing about.
      • Frightningale gets distracted by the temporary heroines' impromptu concert and fails to notice Chat Noir and Marigold tiptoeing away right behind her.
      • In The Stinger, Audrey fires several of her employees for failing to find her sunglasses... which she's wearing... on her face.
  • Fair-Play Whodunnit: Just barely. At the start of "Vanisher" the author says, "there is a short mystery so I hope you'll look at the clues." Vanisher is shown lurking in Chloé's room doing something sinister. In the second part we get a Red Herring when Chloé bangs open a door: this is actually done by the akuma invisibly to mislead her. In the third part comes The Reveal that Chloé has been cut off from the physical world and is actually in a Prison Dimension, so she can't actually open doors. The real clue is an Absence of Evidence: Chloé has her cell phone, it's charged, and her father is looking for her. If she were merely invisible and not cut off from the real world she would have gotten calls and texts from him.
  • Fantasy-Forbidding Father: "The Pharaoh" parodies this; Jalil sees his father as one, but...
Mr. Kubdel: Jalil, you're not using museum artifacts to perform a sacrificial ritual! For several reasons!
Jalil: [flipping him off] Gawd, you just don't understand me dad!
  • Faux Horrific: While several things that Adrien uses to get his father to back off could be a genuine problem for Adrien's modeling career, Gabriel reacts the same to the idea of Adrien wearing a silly T-shirt to a major modeling gig or dyeing his hair as he does to Adrien wearing crocs.
  • First-Person Smartass:
    • Adrien makes a mental remark about M. D'Argencourt's ancestor, the Black Knight.
D'Argencourt: Centuries ago, the Black Knight ruled Paris with an iron fist. Until he was overthrown by a commoner, who used his gold to buy the loyalty of the lower class of Paris!
Adrien: [thinking] If some guy giving money to the poor while your ancestor ruled with an 'iron fist' caused a revolution... then maybe your ancestor was kind of a dick.
    • Ondine thinks up a snide remark at Kim's expense, which she keeps to herself.
Kim: [reading Ondine's note] "I'm super in love with a boy who doesn't suspect anything." [laughing] Haha! That guy sounds like an idiot!
      Ondine: [thinking] You're not wrong.
    • Nathalie deduces why Gabriel's in denial of Scarlet Lady's incompetence, though she doesn't say it out loud.
Nathalie: Look at it this way: at least [Adrien]'s admiring the smart Marigold and not the incompetent leader, Scarlet Lady.
Gabriel: Scarlet Lady is not incompetent! She's the slipperiest of the whole group!
Nathalie: Ah. Of course, sir. [thinking] Because if she was an idiot, you'd be the guy losing to that idiot.
    • Butler Jean shows signs of this when Chloé refuses to acknowledge that her friendship with Adrien is over:
Chloé:Look, Jean-Deer, Adrien is obviously just being dramatic with this whole "not being my friend" thing! And since I'm so nice I'm willing to forgive him for teasing me like this.
Butler Jean: [thinking] Yes... he's the dramatic one.
    • Nooroo mentally mouths off to Gabriel at the end of "Sandboy":
Gabriel: I hope you enjoyed your birthday gift, Nooroo. Thanks to your little friends, I know exactly how many of them are in Paris. I'll find them all and their Miraculouses! Then I'll have unlimited power at my disposal! Then nothing will stop me! Bwahahaha!
Nooroo: [thinking] You haven't even managed to get the Miraculouses you're invested in, you flop.
  • Five-Second Foreshadowing:
    • As he begins his presentation for Parent's Career Day, Roger explains how he believes in "innocent before proven guilty." Then Chloé discovers her bracelet's disappearance and immediately starts tossing out baseless accusations, with her father backing her up, clashing directly with Roger's values.
    • During her argument with Chloé inside Rogercop's car, Marinette tells the akuma that Chloé should be arrested for not wearing a seat belt. Chat Noir arrives to rescue the two girls soon after, though he accidentally causes one of the rear doors to swing open and Chloé to fall out since, unlike Marinette, she wasn't strapped in.
    • On the second page of "Vanisher," when Chloé arrives in class, she does so by slamming the door, causing someone to yell. As she talks about how hard her morning was, everyone can be seen still looking towards the door. It's because they can't see or hear Chloé and are wondering why the door seemingly slammed by itself.
    • Juleka pointedly reminds Marinette in "Intermission" that the latter has "other options" for potential romantic prospects right before Luka arrives to deliver their pizza.
    • After being deakumatized, Butler Jean laments his firing. Chat Noir reassures him that knowing Chloé, she'll have forgotten she fired her butler by tomorrow... right before Chloé storms onto the scene and demands her butler save her party.
Chat Noir: [Sweat Drops] Or she'll forget right now.
  • Fix Fic: The writer takes advantage of the AU setting to fix as many plot holes and inconsistencies in canon as she can. These fixes range from creating a solid timeline to giving the characters actual growth and development to fixing multiple Idiot Ball moments.
    • Many characters have been improved upon to make them more likable or believable:
      • Chat Noir/Adrien's worst qualities, such as his Entitled to Have You and Extreme Doormat tendencies, have been almost completely cut out: he sincerely helps Marinette sort out her feelings for Luka despite his painfully obvious jealousy and stands up to the toxic individuals in his life, namely by pushing back against his father by threatening to cause Gabriel bad PR and calling out Chloé and Lila rather than trying to excuse or appease them. He also undergoes considerable Character Development early in the story to become much more competent and professional than he was in canon.
      • Likewise, Marinette's own entitlement issues and Stalker with a Crush tendencies are filed down while her various quirks are kept intact. The Love Makes You Dumb aspect of her personality is also toned down to the point where she is perfectly capable of holding a conversation with her crush(es), at least under most circumstances. Finally, she is given a legitimate explanation for some of her less savory actions, such as stealing Alya's phone over a video she accidentally deleted, fearing that it will lead to the end of her social life due to her Friendless Background that left her with all of the anxieties and self-doubts that would realistically be associated with it.
      • Similar to Adrien, Sabrina also has her Extreme Doormat personality and unhealthy friendship with Chloé fixed. While she starts off as the same loyal lackey and "best friend" to Chloé as in canon, Chloé getting Sabrina's father fired in "Rogercop" over a petty slight (something that canon had Sabrina completely ignore) shatters Sabrina's respect for her friend. Even after Roger is told he'll get his job back with a promotion at the end of the episode, Sabrina has difficulty forgiving Chloé for it, in no small part because her friend never even tries to apologize or make up for it and instead just continues to mistreat Sabrina, which only makes Sabrina further question her "friendship" with Chloé. This leads to Sabrina growing increasingly distant from the class bully and closer to the rest of the class, whom she slowly realizes treat her much better than her supposed best friend does. She eventually learns to stand up for herself as well, sassing Chloé and refusing to help her with her dirty work. As of "Vanisher," she has ended her friendship with Chloé for good.
    • The comic averts the canon "rule" that each episode needs to have Marinette make a mistake and learn a lesson, which led to Marinette constantly portrayed as being in the wrong when she isn't and held at fault for things that she at most only minimally contributed to, all while others who do worse are given a comparative free pass. Instead, the author aims to treat Marinette fairly and draw attention to other characters' faults:
      • Unlike the show, in which "Lady Wifi" ended without Alya really learning anything, the comic has Marinette point out to Alya that if she really suspected Marinette of being Scarlet Lady, she could've just asked Marinette or stopped to think about how Marinette had a solid alibi for the Stoneheart incident weeks ago instead of impulsively breaking into Marinette's locker to investigate.
      • The comic emphasizes that Jalil's plan to prove one of his conspiracy theories by using museum artifacts to perform a ritual involving Human Sacrifice is selfish and irresponsible. The show glossed over this and instead portrayed him being akumatized over his father to agree to this as sympathetic.
      • Nino gets rebuked for his Acquired Situational Narcissism in "Horrificator" and apologizes to his friends in the end, something he didn't do in canon.
      • Marinette invoking Everyone Is a Suspect and suggesting all the suspects bags be searched in canon "Rogercop" was treated as her scapegoating her classmates and being no better than Chloé by making kneejerk accusations. The comic instead presents the same views as fair observations and shows that Marinette simply wishes to be treated the same as everyone else as opposed to baselessly singled out (she has no problem with her bag being searched after Sabrina surrenders her bag first). In addition, Marinette calls her father out for scolding her to let the adults handle things when none of the adults present (Tom included) are actually doing anything help resolve the situation.
      • The canon version of "The Gamer" treats Max's akumatization as entirely Marinette's fault because she selfishly took a spot in a video game tournament that would've gone to him, even though he had practiced so long of the tournament while she only entered on a whim to spend time with Adrien. In contrast, the comic draws attention to how Marinette deserved to compete in the tournament more than Max because she earned her spot fairly and how unfair (and likely sexist) it is to only blame Marinette when Adrien also beat Max out for a spot in the tournament. Additionally, Max's Sore Loser and Entitled Bastard behavior over his loss are highlighted (not to mention how he arguably cheated by using coded combos), and the end, instead of Marinette apologizing to Max for being selfish, Max is the one who apologizes to her after learning a lesson about sportsmanship.
      • The show portrays Ladybug as having caused Prime Queen due to walking out on her and Chat Noir's interview with Nadja Chamack, leading to the reporter's akumatization. In contrast, the comic accentuates Nadja's Immoral Journalist antics throughout the episode, with the heroes (even Scarlet Lady) deeming the interview a waste of time as they leave. Nobody really sympathizes when Nadja has her show cancelled, gets akumatized into Prime Queen, and becomes hellbent on proving that Chat Noir and Marigold are a couple.
      • Both the show's version of "Zombizou" and the comic's version has Mme. Bustier tell Marinette to forgive Chloé and set an example for the bully. But while canon portrayed this as being the correct way of dealing with Chloé, the comic has Marinette angrily point out that Bustier's completely ignoring her feelings in favor of The Unapologetic Chloé, how forgiving Chloé would just send a message that she can get away with anything or will even be rewarded for it, and that Mme. Bustier is essentially aiding Chloé's bullying by refusing to take action herself. Chat Noir and Marigold later also point out how misguided Bustier's belief that negative feelings should always be avoided when they're in fact all normal emotions and nothing to be ashamed about.
    • "Hawkmoth" brings up something that was ignored in the canon "Mayura": Ladybug does tell Nino (as Foxtrot) to kiss Alya (Koki Marina) after the latter gets hit by one of Dark Cupid's arrows. Unfortunately, Koki is too enraged for Foxtrot to successfully kiss her, and they are both still akumatized.
  • Flat "What": Chat Noir's reaction to learning that Marinette agreed to date Evillustrator is a deadpan "What."
  • Flipping the Bird: This happens a lot.
    • Marinette to Hawkmoth while she screams at him to stop playing the victim.
    • Scarlet Lady flips a double bird at Lady Wifi (which she censors) after the latter implies Scarlet is in a relationship with Chat Noir.
    • Jalil to his father because he won't let him use the museum artifacts to make a ritual sacrifice.
    • Adrien flips off Scarlet Lady after she tries to make fun of him and Maotif for being "gross."
    • Adrien reveals he convinced Gabriel to let him come to Nino's second appearance on the show in "Simon Says" by threatening to wear a T-shirt showing a cat throwing a double bird and saying, "Get meowt of here," to a fashion show.
    • Zoe Rapporte does this during a news report about her "Nth akumatization," angrily claiming that it was because of how much people annoyed her.
    • Luka flips off Chloé as he's being akumatized.
    • Chat promising to help Marigold regain her voice after teasing Scar about losing hers causes the Ladybug heroine to angrily flip him off.
  • Follow That Car: With those exact words, Adrien tells his driver to pursue Kagami in "Riposte," unwittingly running both himself and Marinette into akuma danger.
  • Force Feeding: Scarlet Lady tells Marigold and Chat Noir in "Syren" that they can save the day without her since they won't tell her their secrets. They react by force-feeding her the power up potion and saying they would go without her if they could.
  • Foreshadowing:
    • In "Rogercop," mentions are made of an upcoming mayoral election (with the adults witnessing the Parents Day fiasco taking Mayor Bourgeois's Screw the Rules, I Make Them! attitude as a reason not to vote for him). The following episode, "Darkblade," covers the election itself.
    • When Lila first declares that she's best friends with Scarlet Lady in "Volpina," Alya immediately snaps up her cell phone and starts recording. Later, when Scarlet publicly humiliates Lila in the park, she's among the witnesses. Compared to her peers, Alya's expression is more puzzled than sympathetic towards Lila's plight, and she accepts Scarlet's excuse with relative ease. It's later revealed she has a personal reason to be okay with how harshly Lila was dealt with: she posted Lila's lies on the Ladyblog.
    • When Adrien talks to Fu about getting the book back, he mentions that, due to being grounded, he won't be able to make it to Marinette's birthday party. Later, Alix sends Lila a bunch of messages inviting her to said party. The next episode turns out to be "La Befana."
    • When Scarlet Lady doesn't show up to fight Kung Food until the last minute due to Chloé being tied up and unable to transform until Chat Noir rescues her, Marinette ends up helping Chat fight against the akuma's brainwashed minions and once again uses the Lucky Charm against the akuma, which Adrien tells Master Fu about after (as well as bringing up her temporarily using his Miraculous against Reflekta). This seems to be what convinces Fu to give Marinette the Bee Miraculous.
    • In the last page of "Evillustrator," Chloé guilts Sabrina into giving her another chance to be her friend, which the latter says will be the last chance. The next episode is "Vanisher," where Sabrina gets akumatized after falling out with Chloé again and ends her friendship with Chloé for good.
    • There's an Easter Egg in "Intermission": the titles of each of the pages is the name of a Miraculous power, and they are in the order that they were planned to appear in the comic at the time of writing. This reveals that not only are the Fox, Turtle, Dragon, Snake, Horse, and Monkey Miraculous going to be used, but that the Mouse Miraculous will also be used before the aforementioned ones, which happens in "Puppeteer." In that episode, Marigold's doll gets taken by the titular akuma, so Adrien tells her to detransform while he temporarily gives out another Miraculous, unknowingly giving it to her civilian identity, Marinette.
    • In "Puppeteer," Chloé and Tikki mention the work experience field trip to be held at the hotel, suggesting "Pixelator" will be the next episode.
    • In "Ikari Gozen," Chat Noir and Marigold have a conversation about how Scarlet Lady has three known powers and wonder if that means they might have other powers, too. At the start of "Zombizou," Master Fu mentions that the Grimoire says something about Miraculous users being able to manifest new powers when they most need it. These both foreshadow the climax of the latter episode, when Marigold unlocks a new power from her panic after Scarlet Lady is infected.
    • In "Prime Queen," Lila mentions needing cash for Mme. Bustier's present, foreshadowing the next episode, "Zombizou," when said birthday takes place.
    • Towards the end of "The Mime," Mylène suggests that the girls should go out to the water park. The next episode is "Gorizilla," which involves the girls going there.
  • Forgetful Jones: Kim is often shown as not being very smart, but he is especially forgetful in "Syren": aside from nearly forgetting the class made plans to see a movie together, he needs to be reminded to take off his swimming cap before leaving the pool. Later, when he jumps into the flood waters for a swim, the author points out another memory lapse in the notes: "I'd like a pair of goggles so this nasty river isn't in my eyes, tbh." He does have swim goggles, but they are pushed up on top of his head.
  • Forgot About His Powers:
    • After Malediktator brainwashes Chat Noir into acting like a cat, Marigold doesn't think to use Bee Balm to change him back. In fairness, they were preoccupied with trying to get Zoé out of danger as this is the latter's first experience with an akuma. The tags imply that the author forgot about it as well.
    Tags: #bee balm? what's that? I'm an idiot that's what's that.
    • In "Hawkmoth", Koki Marina gets hit by one of Dark Cupid's arrows when Taking the Bullet for Foxtrot, forgetting that she can use Shell-ter, or even just her shield as Ladybug points out.
  • Forgotten First Meeting: "Pixelator" isn't the first time the mayor and Jagged Stone met, but neither of them remembers any previous of their previous meetings. The mayor claims he only remembers "the important people" and Jagged, upon being reminded by Penny that the mayor is Bob Roth's friend, says it's no wonder he erased the mayor from his memory.
  • Freudian Excuse:
    • In "The Collector," Lila tells Marinette that her lies started "as a defense—new kid syndrome or whatever." However, they became fun once she realized how far she could push it.
    • Kagami's mother states (while akumatized) in "Ikari Gozen" that the reason she forbids Kagami from having friends is because her own friends abandoned her after she became blind.
  • Freudian Excuse Is No Excuse: As the rest of the class calls Chloé out for her behavior in "Zombizou," Sabrina declares that she doesn't have the right to take her angst out on others "just because [her] mom forgets [her] birthday." This causes Chloé to instantly drop her "better than all of you" attitude to snap defensively at her.
  • A Friend in Need:
    • Despite not having a Miraculous, Marinette races to the scene of the first akuma attack in order to help Alya after seeing that she's on the scene.
    • A double dose in "Horrificator": Sabrina desperately searches for Chloé after her disappearance, not wanting to risk abandoning her when she might just be hiding rather than already caught. Marinette then sees Horrificator about to snatch her up and leaps into action, getting caught in the process of getting her out of harms' way.
  • From the Mouths of Babes: When one of Alya's younger sisters tells the other younger sister Nino is "the guy all over" Alya's phone, the other sister asks if he's Alya's boyfriend. The tagline even mentions the trope.
    Alya: U-hu- Wait, what?!
  • Funny Background Event:
    • During "Rogercop," when Adrien discovers Plagg with Chloé's bracelet, you can see little text bubbles of Alya insulting Chloé as she stands up for Marinette.
    • During "Reflekta," you can see Alix smirking at all the chaos caused from Adrien shoving Chloé off him.
    • In "Syren," when the akuma flies to Ondine, there is a man cleaning in the background who notices and runs off.
    • "Intermission" has a few:
      • When Nino presents Adrien with the Marigold plushies he managed to snag, Kagami is shown Crush Blushing over the cute dolls and taking one for herself.
      • After Adrien returns and asks Gabriel and Nathalie if they want any of the Marigold swag his friends scored for him, Nathalie can subsequently be seen playing with a trompo.
      • Alya can be seen pulling on Marinette's cheeks while Sabrina wonders about Chloé being Scarlet Lady's friend.
    • After Jagged Stone drops his tablet on XY's head, you can see the akuma that will akumatize Jagged into Guitar Villain fluttering by and a hotel staffer looking at it nervously.
    • Near the end of "Guitar Villain," while Marigold freaks out about all the stuff she has to deal with once she transforms back, Chat is calmly asking Jagged for an autograph.
    • In the background at the party in "Despair Bear," Chloé tries to get Butler Jean to put Mr. Cuddly away before everybody sees it.
    • In "Silencer," while Chloé is going on about Marinette's designs being hard for Bob and XY to copy, Luka quickly accepts his akumatization in the background.
    • After Anarka and Jagged get akumatized in "Crocoduel," Adrien and Marinette are seen in separate panels sneaking off to transform while everyone at Juleka and Luka's party watches the two akuma fight.
    • As Mme. Bustier is accepting Hawkmoth's offer to become "Zombizou," Chloé tiptoes past her to reach the stairs, side-eyeing her the whole time.
    • While Alya and some of the other girls freak out over the picture of Marinette and Adrien in "Gorizilla," Kagami is aggressively blasting Alix with a water gun while Ondine looks on nervously.
  • Fusion Dance: After retrieving the Ladybug Earrings from Zoe during Queen Wasp's attack, Marinette/Marigold immediately unifies them with the Bee Miraculous in order to become Ladygold.

    G
  • George Jetson Job Security: Played With. Chloé tells Butler Jean he's fired after the party she decided to throw to win Adrien back (which she's convinced herself was her butler's idea) led to Adrien slow dancing with Marinette instead. However, after Despair Bear's defeat, she's already forgotten all about it and demands that he save her party. Word of God states that Chloé is "only serious about 25% of the people she fires."
  • Get Out!:
    • Mayor Bourgeois says this to Nino near the end of "Horrificator" when the latter shows him his entry for the film festival... which is unedited and doesn't have a story, characters, or plot.
    • Adrien orders a fighting Scarlet Lady and Volpina, along with Marinette, out of his room so he can turn back into Chat Noir.
    • In "Despair Bear," Chloé presumably does this when she suddenly cancels her party after Adrien refuses to forgive her for her fire department stunt.
  • Giving Someone the Pointer Finger: Marinette does this towards Hawkmoth's projection during her speech.
  • Godzilla Threshold: Comes up a few times:
    • "Vanisher" quickly reveals that Chloé has been separated from everyone else, including Tikki, by the villain and is thus unable to transform into Scarlet Lady. Master Fu tells Tikki that she'll have to use the World-Healing Wave by herself, which will have consequences, though not as big as if she were to use Lucky Charm by herself. Master Fu also promises he will send help. It's finally time for Marinette to make her debut as Marigold the Bee hero.
    • "Riposte" those shows that Tikki going to Master Fu when she realized that Chloé won't be able to transform is an example of this trope since one of the rules she tells Pollen is to not visit the Guardian by herself unless her holder can't transform.
    • "Princess Fragrance" ends with Marigold deciding that she and Chat Noir need to take Scarlet Lady's earrings after the Ladybug heroine neglected Tikki's sickness and was irresponsible enough to let Chloé steal the Kwami (at least to Marinette's knowledge). Even if it isn't the full truth, the fact that the Ladybug heroine carelessly lost her Kwami (as far as the other heroes know) and also wasn't willing to get Tikki healed is a big cause for concern.
    • "Reverser" has Master Fu transforming into Jade Turtle so he can let Chat Noir give out a Miraculous without having to go all the way back to where the Miracle Box is stored, instead using his shield to access the Miraculous. He explains that he can't stay transformed for too long because it causes pain in his old age, but since all three heroes had been affected by the akuma, he thought it was necessary in this instance.
    • Marigold and Chat Noir intend to give out Miraculous to Lila and Sabrina Iin "Frightningale"; however, they realize the two friends will become suspicious of each other's identities because everyone else besides the heroes have fled and there's no easy way to separate them that won't result in the two figuring out their best friend is the other new hero. So instead, Marigold and Chat Noir offer the Miraculous to them simultaneously.
    • In "Hawkmoth", Master Fu uses the Rabbit Miraculous as a safe and quick way to give out the other Miraculous to their temporary holders - in some cases soon after they're de-akumatized - not only causing himself pain in his old age once again but also using a power that he believes should only be used when absolutely necessary.
  • Going for the Big Scoop: Alya's motivation as in canon. The reason Marinette gets involved in the first akuma battle is so she can get Alya out of there, thinking Alya is freaking insane for chasing after Stoneheart.
  • Gone Horribly Right:
    • Mireille enters the weather girl contest simply to try and leave her comfort zone and was never interested in winning. When she apparently wins by a landslide anyway (due to the producers rigging the contest in her favor), Aurore, the runner-up, gets akumatized into Stormy Weather and traps Mireille in ice.
    • Chloé locks Juleka in the bathroom, both so that she can take Juleka's place next to Adrien in the class photo and so that Juleka gets akumatized, which would allow Chloé another chance to show off as Scarlet Lady. It works on both counts, alright... much to Chloé's dismay when it interferes with her attempt to get Marinette into serious trouble for messing with the class photos.
  • Got Volunteered: During Mr. Pigeon's siege, Marinette suggests using live bait to have the akuma find the heroes. Scarlet immediately "thanks" Marinette for "volunteering."
  • Gratuitous French: Well, not that gratuitous since the characters ARE French, but the English dialogues are often peppered with French words like "Bonjour" ("Hello") or "Mec"("Dude").
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Played for Laughs; Hawkmoth is incredibly jealous upon seeing the heroes get powered-up forms, pouting over how unfair it is and later imagining what his own transformation would look like.
  • Grew a Spine:
    • Due to having to put up with Scarlet Lady, Adrien quickly becomes rebellious towards his Control Freak father and has a lot less patience when it comes to Chloé (whom he doesn't realize is Scarlet Lady).
    • Happens to Sabrina as well after Chloé getting Roger fired over a minor slight opens Sabrina's eyes to how awful of a "friend" Chloé really is.
      • After Marinette's boobytrapped diary box clamps around Sabrina's wrist, Sabrina mouths off at Chloé—who made her steal Marinette's diary in the first place—for what seems to be the first time. Then, when Chloé scoffs at and refuses to believe her when she explains what happened (despite the box being visibly latched to Sabrina's wrist), Sabrina outright yells at her.
      • In "Reflekta," Sabrina has had enough of Chloé's shit and refuses to help her with her schemes, forcing Chloé to do her own dirty work.
      • Chloé refusing to pull her weight in the group physics projects in "Evillustrator" and claiming she's Sabrina's Only Friend (thus dismissing all the kindness the rest of the class has shown her) pushes Sabrina past her Rage Breaking Point. She gives her "friend" a scathing "The Reason You Suck" Speech and has to be restrained by Marinette from starting a fistfight. Though she "forgives" Chloé by the end, she makes clear that this is Chloé's last chance.
      • She reaches the end of her patience with Chloé in "Vanisher" and finally ends their friendship.
  • Guile Hero: In "Reflekta," Adrien gets himself zapped by the villain while hidden in a locker, with Plagg holding his ring. Plagg promptly passes the ring to Marinette so she can pick up the fight in Adrien's stead. The transformed Adrien's reaction in a later scene shows he was not expecting Plagg to do this; he probably expected Plagg to give him back the ring so he could transform over the Reflekta form.
