This is where I put all of my work in progress work pages. I don't mind others editing this if they want to help out with covering the stuff here, or using my drafts as a jumping-off point to create a new page - though I doubt that'll happen because from what I can tell very few people editing this site are also interested in these works lol. You know what, let me know if you do the second thing actually! The drafts are here because I want to see these things on the site at some point after all.

NOISZ STARLIVHT
Being an LGBTQ story brought to you by an LGBTQ team, it's also probably the most canonically, unapologetically gay rhythm game you've ever played."
awesome thing contains examples of:
- Arc Number: Four. The game has four lanes of notes, which you hit by tapping a four-sided diamond at the bottom of the screen. The story follows the four playable idols in STARLIVHT, is told through four-part chapters, and is progressed by playing songs with four difficulty tiers. Each idol has a four-pointed star on their outfit somewhere. And to top it all off, the logo for the game connects the I and V in STARLIVHT in a way that resembles the Roman numeral for 4 (IV).
- Crossover: No Hints Here with A Dance of Fire and Ice
- Virtual Pet
- Visual Novel: The format most of the story is told in.
(Music) MDK
Tropes associated with MDK:
- Advancedtech 2000: The Colour Cannon 9001.
- Alliterative Name: The Bizarre Bazaar from "Colour Cannon".
- All There in the Manual: All of the lore for MDK's music is told through short stories on his website and descriptions in YouTube uploads.
- Anachronic Order: The release date of a song rarely lines up with where it is chronologically in the Wubstep lore. This even gets lampshaded in Arcade Dwellers's story, which takes place sometime far in the future:
- April Fools' Day:
- On April 1st of (year), there was a remix of Press Start by Smooth Jazz himself.
- super ultra
- the other thing
- Author Avatar: In the lore, he appears as the "Warrior of Wubstep" - a GUY WHO DOES THINGS (describe them). He isn't the only one though; a few artists that collab with MDK get their own avatars in his story.
- Treyx appears as Tricky Trev, who sells the titular weapon to Dumbledalf in Colour Cannon. (?)
- Chime turns into a blue wizard when they're sucked into an arcade cabinet alongside MDK in Arcade Dwellers.
- Teminite gets an outfit similar to the Warrior of Wubstep in Space Invaders, with two swords styled after his "T" logo.
- Big Bad: Smooth Jazz,
- Bland-Name Product: There's a game console called the Super Wubtendo and a handheld called the Wubtendo BS. Dumbledalf also orders a package from Wubazon.
- Calling Your Attacks: After struggling to remember any more complicated spells, Dumbledalf simply resorts to this:Dumbledalf: OH, yes, of course! WUUUBSPLOSION!!
- Christmas Episode: Funk Mountain is this and a Ski-Resort Episode
- Continuity Nod: A few of MDK's older songs are still represented in the lore, despite not having a story to go with them:
- In Arcade Dwellers, Chime and MDK are apparently playing Press Start.
- Super Ultra is the name of an energy drink.
- Crossover: The Geometry Dash Theme Song music video has a few Corsairs playing Geometry Dash on a Super Wubtendo.
- Embarrassing Initials: The Smooth Room apparently is a regular winner of the "INTERGALACTIC CHAMBER OF ULTIMATE PAIN (ICUP)" award.
- Fictional Holiday: SlimeFest
- Lethal Eatery: Slick Rick's is a bar run several Corsairs on Smooth Jazz's ship. The review of it released with Press Start (Sterrezo Remix) talks about how there are not only roaches,
- Nested Story Reveal: The events of Arcade Dwellers are actually just a fake prophecy that Dumbledalf tells several Corsairs to buy time. This is only mentioned All There in the Manual like most of MDK's lore, meaning it’s only revealed if you read it.
- Only Known by Initials: MDK's alias is just the initials of his full name, Morgan David King.
- The Phoenix: The Firebird from Firebird.
- Shout-Out: His music has several to Creator/Nintendo. Alongside a couple Bland-Name Product versions of their consoles, he has a song titled Final Smash and The Warrior of Wubstep has a The Legend of Zelda styled logo in its album artwork.
- Space "X": Slick Rick's isn't infested with any old roaches, they're space roaches!
- Surprise Party: The Corsairs throw Smooth Jazz a cowboy-themed surprise party after they conquered the Jelly Castle. It doesn’t go well.
(Web Comic) Epic Gamer Comic
An ironic Parody of Two Gamers on a Couch webcomics created by Keeby10, Epic Gamer Comic follows Gene and Eric - two "generic gamers" - as they get into a variety of shenanigans. Or something. This description sucks
It's also a part of the Keeby10's Nonsense System Verse of webcomics.
EPIC GAMER TROPES
- Aborted Arc: Subverted during the Time Loop Arc. Midway through it, the comic seemingly returns to normal with its main characters replaced by Suspiciously Similar Substitutes who mostly act the same way. Then, one wonders if they're missing anything important - they both agree they aren't, smoke "gamer weed", and then the arc resumes as suddenly as it stopped.
- April Fools' Day:
- timeloop arc one
- 2023 featured a strip announcing a Spin-Off Babies version of the comic.
- Art Shift: Several.
- The entire Time Loop Arc switches between art styles of other webcomics with each loop.
- Every strip in the Seinfield Arc
- Ascended Meme: In Epic Gamer Comic (#???), Steve Harvey returns as "Papa Steve" before reacting with horror as Baby Gene shouts out an answer to a Family Feud question he never asked.
- Butt-Monkey: An Ouya with a face and legs that Gene and Eric own. Whenever it's involved in a comic, another character is guaranteed to mention how it sucks or isn't cool. Doubles as a Take That! to the Ouya console.
- Christmas Episode: The Christmas Arc.
- Cut and Paste Comic: The majority of comics featuring the main characters have nearly zero variation in how they look at all. To add to it, when they're zoomed in on they almost always remain at a lower resolution.
- Dark Secret: Played for Laughs with Eric's dark secret that he enjoys card games alongside video games.
- Dem Bones: Rad Dad
- Every Episode Ending: The Doggie Doo Board Game saga ended every single one of its strips with the punchline of a character finding the "Doggie Doo Board Game". This went on for (at least 20?) comics straight until it ended with Gene in Animal Crossing form getting the "Don't Wake Daddy Board Game" instead.
- Evil Knockoff: Chad makes "evil" versions of Gene and Eric to defeat them that he dubs the Badass Gamers.
- 420, Blaze It:
- Fun T-Shirt: Kate's shirt? eric does not like it
- Gamer Chick: Kate.
- LOL, 69: Epic Gamer Comic 69, naturally:
- Identical Panel Gag: very common, mention where here
- Rhyming Episode: The entire Christmas Arc.
- Showing Up Chauvinists: Exaggerated in this strip, where Kate gets a kill count of 9001 in 0.5 femtosecondsnote while playing a game with Gene.
Music.Exyl
makes music. also makes music videos
Discography:
Tropes related to Exyl:
- Animated Music Video: Every single music video Exyl has done is 3D animated by him.
- Animate Inanimate Object: The music video for Egg is about an egg with sunglasses jumping out of a nest and flying away on a paper airplane.
- Artifact Title: Barcode Valkryie is a song dedicated to Geometry Dash, a game with zero relation to its title. According to its YouTube upload, the song was originally themed after valkryies when it was initially revealed with the name. The title was kept after it was rethemed because it sounded cool regardless.
- Crossover: Cosmic War is a collaboration with electronic music producer Creo. Its music video is a crossover as well, with Flute-chan (?) and Anthony - two characters from Exyl and Creo's music - facing off against each other.
- They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: Referenced and parodied in a small section of Egg that uses saxophone instead of Exyl's signature flute. Well, really in the captions for the video, which Exyl typically fills with joking descriptions of what's happening on-screen:
- Logo Joke: The intro to Cosmic War gives Exyl a logo in the style of Creo's.
- Sampling: Ping! and Ping! 2 are entirely built around a sample of the Website/Discord notification sound.
- World Shapes: The planet Earth in Egg is egg-shaped.
(Video Game) Void Untold
but it escaped our grasp.
It sees everything as dangerous,
So it's trying to control everything.
- -Xani to Hal
Void Untold contains examples of:
- Action Girl: Flame (shes cool btw.)
- Art Evolution: same reason as black heart and a few other pa storylines. dragonw Got Better
- Big Bad: Nameless, probably
- Boss Game: The majority of the story's levels focus on boss fights. The only one to feature no boss at all is Meltdown.
- Both Order and Chaos are Dangerous: nameless corruption puts you in a crystal after long enough. flame is incredibly dangerous and whatever.
- Character Title: Inverted - as Project Arrhythmia levels are named after the songs used, Hydra is named after the song/level instead of the level being named after them.
- Fan Work: Of the base game Project Arrhythmia, due to being created in its level editor - but the only element of its original story used is the player's name.
- Shout-Out: Hydra's shapeshifting is used for a lot of these re: other custom levels
(Video Game) Heartstrings
Project Arrhythmia storyline by noodlekin and bugssontoast uhhhh ITS COOL i'll write more for this draft later.
Heartstrings contains examples of:
- Big Bad: Pilate.
- Boss Game: Every single level in the collection features a boss fight.
- Meaningful Name:
- Sirius and Canis are named after the Sirius binary star system.
- Pilate's name is a sort of Biblical Motif. He is the main force leading others against the Emissary, which came from the Heart (something that the entirety of Arcadia worships) to save others.
- Non-Action Protagonist: The Emissary is never depicted actually fighting any of the bosses.
- Though Arcadia's original name of Arrhythmia clearly relates to the base game Project Arrhythmia, it can also be connected to the Heart itself and its theft.
- The Needs of the Many: this is how sirius thinks lol
- Super Mode / Dangerous Forbidden Technique for royal spectra?
- Came Back Wrong: oph? she dies again after a few minutes tho
- Leaning on the Fourth Wall: mags says you can just walk away you can just close the game.
