Locations

An overall deck plan of the ship can be found here (to zoom in, Shift-click the image to open in a new window). Much of the areas are ambiguous, but the most important ones are as follows:

    Main Deck (Decks 1-3)

Deck 1

  • Abandoned Theater: A truly grand and futuristic-looking theater, spanning Decks 1-3 at the front of the ship. However, it has been abandoned for some time, as all entertainment has been diverted to other areas. It's possibly haunted as well, but also makes for a great combat area due to how surprisingly indestructible it is. The orchestra pit contains musical instruments that can be either played or thrown at opponents.
  • Arboretum: This place offers a glimpse of nature in a technological complex. There are few trees here, mainly flowers and such, and the place is supervised by robotic butterflies. There's also an enclosed meditation garden for silently contemplating things.
  • Library: This great repository of books is watched over by Miss Shush, a robot librarian who insists on keeping the place quiet. Like the Nebula Lobby, it spans Decks 1-3.
  • Computer Room: Adjacent to the library, this place has computers and other electronic gadgets available for rent. It even has a soundproof room for some reason.
  • Nebula Lobby: A grand lobby spanning three floors (Decks 1-3), where many of the guests meet. Has many curved staircases for decoration, as people mainly travel between floors via elevator (indicated by the "L" boxes in the floor plan). Adjacent to this is the information desks, staffed by secretary robots who provide you everything you want to know about the ship and arrange room reservations and such.
  • Storage Rooms: Exactly What It Says on the Tin. The floor plan is not accurate with these - there are as many storage rooms as are needed for the characters. The hotel rooms flanking the arboretum may be converted into storage rooms too.
  • Spaceship/Pod Docking Area: Here characters can park any small spaceships they have arrived on. The area also contains various space pods - larger ones transport characters on and off the ship (so that the ship doesn't have to stop anywhere), while smaller ones are available for rent so people can fly around outside the ship.

Deck 2

  • Nebula Lobby, Library, and Abandoned Theater, 2F
  • Lucky Star Casino: The adult counterpart of the Quasarcade. It's designed like the themed casinos of Las Vegas minus the eating establishments (unless Square Root of Pie counts), with an outer space theme. Requires constant ventilation to avoid becoming stuffed with cigarette smoke. Of course, the cashiers and card table dealers are robots.
  • Comedy Club: Pretty typical coffeehouse-ish area, featuring a bar that serves both liquor and espresso, and hosting open mics.
  • Quasarcade: An arcade along the side of the ship. Also features individual gaming rooms. Great place for kids.
  • Square Root of Pie: Mainly a pizza parlor, but it also serves dessert and savory pies just for S&Gs. It's a great place for arcade gamers to take a break, and even has a stage area where they host gaming competitions.
  • Black Hole Lounge: This place is in total darkness, making it a perfect place for guests with non-visual senses to hang out.
  • Sickbay: Located in the "Meeting Area" of the deck plan. This is the ship's main hospital, for anyone who is sick or injured on the voyage.
  • Moonshine Bar and Lounge: The name is completely accidental. This is a wide open space featuring two dance floors flanking a stage area, and a long crescent-shaped bar staffed by robots all named Barkeep.
  • Waste Facility/Combat Zone: Can serve either purpose. This large area spanning two decks features lots of floating platforms and other kinds of architecture you might find in the unstaffed area of a starship.
  • Starlight Restaurant: Located in the rear of the ship with many windows opened to the outside, this massive dining area spanning Decks 2 and 3 serves every imaginable cuisine in the universe. There is no menu - simply tell the robotic waiters what you want and they'll try to come up with something suitable. If you ask nicely they may let you help out in the kitchen as well.

Deck 3

  • Waste Facility/Combat Zone 2F, Library/Nebula Lobby/Abandoned Theater 3F
  • Starlight Restaurant 2F - features an area where you can watch the robots in the kitchen at work.
  • Mini Mall/Art Gallery: Features shops for gifts, clothes, jewelry, what have you, plus an art gallery with a special exhibit on holographic art, and also a 3D printing station.
    • Galaxy Apparel - A large vintage/secondhand clothing shop featuring clothing and trinkets from everywhere across space and time. Run by a boyish young man named Gerald; the rest of the staff is robotic.
  • Sushi Gundam: A sushi bar staffed by human-sized mechas. Where they get the fish is anyone's guess.
  • Zero-Gravity Lounge: A large area of Deck 3, this place features floating tables, recreational areas... basically no structure, just have fun.

Hotel (Decks 4-8)

These decks are where people sleep. There are bath areas and small lounges interspersed throughout. Each floor features rooms of many sizes, from compact rooms with one or two beds, to suites containing several bedrooms and a common area.

Room plans and indicative pictures can be found here.

    Entertainment Center (Decks 9-11)

Deck 9

  • Fitness Center: A place where guests can work out in pretty much any way possible.
  • Stellar Salon and Spa: A perfect place to relax after a good workout. Here guests can get massages, haircuts, manicures, and all your other beauty and relaxation needs. Kind of interesting having robots do all these things. There's a hair salon and a nail salon and several individual spa rooms scattered about.
  • Pool Deck: This place is encased by a large glass window with a view of the stars. There's a wading pool, a lap pool, several jacuzzis and saunas, and even a few waterslides (don't heed the floor plan). And too many poolside lounge chairs to count. Several service robots staff the place, providing towels, pool noodles, beach balls, water guns, what have you. What are called "bars" on the floor plan are actually drink and snack stalls.
  • Dark Matter Lounge: Located adjacent to the pools. This lounge is a bit quieter than the Moonshine Lounge. There's also a bar, and you can take the beverages "outside" into the pool area. The stage is set up for karaoke.
  • Solar Clubs: A series of clubs named after planets of Earth's solar system. Each contains a small bar area, a stage, and lost of cool flashing lights. Six robot DJs perform here (one per club): DJ Mercury, DJ Venus, DJ Mars, DJ Jupiter, DJ Saturn, and DJ Neptune. Club Mars, Club Venus, and Club Jupiter are on Deck 9; the first two are supposed to be gender-exclusive, but nobody enforces it.
  • Holodecks: Four of them, specifically. Here you can conjure pretty much any inanimate object imaginable, including furniture, from Hard Light. Watched over by robots who will rent you headsets needed to create such, and security robots to help prevent trouble. Each holodeck has different levels of gravity - heavy, moderate, light, and zero. Each also has windows open to the outside.

Deck 10

  • A few Stellar Spa rooms, a smoking lounge, and a billiard room
  • Comet Cafe: This Art Deco themed cafe mainly features light snacks, desserts, and an espresso bar - the latter is infamous for its Rocket Fuel Shot which contains so much caffeine that you'll be bouncing off all the ship's walls for hours. For some reason the lead robot barista, the eponymous Comet, is dressed like a reindeer.
  • Club Saturn: One of the Solar Clubs, this one looks the most futuristic. The barkeep is quite the lunatic.
  • Planetoid Park: For kids or kids at heart, this area contains a playground and even some small amusement park rides. There's even a soda fountain and a candy shop.

Deck 11

  • Sports Area: This area features a bowling alley (the top "empty" area) and a few courts that are switchable to suit different sports - everything from basketball to tennis to cricket to fencing... or football if you don't mind a small-ish field.
  • Club Pluto: Located in the checkerboard area above Club Saturn. Was one of the Solar Clubs, but now this place is abandoned. People who die on the ship are dumped here, so it's the perfect hangout spot for necromancers.
  • Club Bizarre: Formerly Club Uranus. On the back half of Deck 11 is a multi-purpose room containing haphazardly scattered toasters, beanbag chairs, disco balls, and various things to make you lose your mind. A popular place for people to astral project or teleport to. Also features a bar famous for absinthe and various Gargle Blasters, and a tea parlor where the tea is served on flying saucers... get it?
  • Clubs Mercury and Neptune: If Club Bizarre is too weird for you, you can go to these more normal Solar Clubs instead.

    Deck 12
  • Cockpit/Control Room: The front half of Deck 12, collectively called the Adminisphere. This entire area is off limits, as it holds the cockpit in the front and the main data systems for the ship in the back. Looks kind of like this.
  • Spirit Room: An area dedicated to metaphysical practices, conveniently located above Club Bizarre.
  • Observation Deck: A spacious area in the rear of the ship encased in a large glass dome offering a great view of the space outside. Bright lights are not allowed in here.
