- Dinosaurs: In "Network Genius", one show Earl tests out is Dr. Marcus, M.D., a parody of Marcus Welby, M.D.. Upon viewing it, Earl thinks the show should instead star Baby Cuddlebunny, and has it retitled Baby Cuddlebunny, M.D., with the format being a parody of Doogie Howser, M.D., while Baby Cuddlebunny himself is a parody of Dinosaurs' own Baby Sinclair.
- In the Emergency! episode "Upward and Onward," the star of A Doctor Faces Life comes down with mononucleosis and proves to be a very Annoying Patient. When Brackett complains about him, Early jokes, "It's not every day you get to meet a famous colleague. Louis Pasteur, Christiaan Barnard, Marcus Welby..."
- In The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries episode "A Haunting We Will Go," Danny says, "I've had medical experience." Alex adds, "You once played a psychopath on Marcus Welby." When Nancy tells Danny not to move an injured man until she's sure he doesn't have a neck or back injury, Danny says, "You're right. I saw that episode myself."
- In The Love Boat episode "Second Time Around," a woman brags that her fake fiancé owns several hospitals. Afterwards, he says, "Why didn't you tell me about the hospitals? I could have done a scene from Marcus Welby, M.D."
