• Deep Purple in Rock and Machine Head seem to be prime candidates for musical references found within JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
  • Yuya Fungami from Diamond is Unbreakable is an absolute hodgepodge of Deep Purple references. His Stand is named Highway Star, he has the initials "H.S." tattooed on his chin as a reference to the song, and his necktie says both "Highway" and "Speed King".
  • JoJolion has two references to Deep Purple within the Higashikata family. The Stand of Jobin Higashikata is named Speed King, while the Stand of Kaato Higashikata is named Space Trucking.

• In There's More Than One Way Home, Dr. Valentine uses his pen to beat out "Smoke on the Water."
