"'You’ll be safe here,' says a whisper behind you. Welcome to Night Vale."
It's the beginning of the traditional Night Vale Poetry Week, when the City Council lifts the ban on writing utensils and mandates that "everybody uses their municipally granted Free Will to join in on the fun". Cecil reads some poems sent in by Night Vale residents, and Intern Dana gets trapped in the Dog Park.
Tropes present in Poetry Week include:
- Put on a Bus: Intern Dana (or her double) is trapped in the Dog Park, but as far as we know that isn't fatal.
"Today's proverb: Pain is just weakness leaving the body, and then being replaced by pain. Lots of pain."
