Grizz cannot bring himself to eat the masterpiece of a "Bear-Sized Burrito", so he brings it with him everywhere.

Tropes:

  • Artistic License – Physics: A lightning strike on a metal electrical tower obliterates the burrito, but Ice Bear and Panda are somehow miraculously unharmed.
  • Companion Cube: The episode deconstructs this when Grizz becomes attached to a man-sized burrito. Not only did his attachment to the burrito result in him losing a challenge, but it begins to veer further and further into an obsession, refusing to get rid of it despite the burrito becoming increasingly spoiled (to Ice Bear's unfortunate disgust when he smells it), and becoming less and less interested in interacting with regular people. It's even noted on a website that people like Grizz end up becoming total hermits because of this bizarre obsession, something that makes Panda and Ice Bear determined to keep Grizz from succumbing to the same fate.
  • For Your Own Good: Panda and Ice Bear try to get rid of the burrito so Grizz will stop acting crazy.
  • Freudian Excuse: A flashback reveals that Grizzly's obsession with the burrito comes from an incident he had as a cub, when he was saved from being stranded in a tree by a fireman with his forearm wrapped in protective foil.
  • Giant Food: The man-sized burrito.
  • Just Eat Him: Panda and Ice Bear try to get Grizzly to do this to the burrito.
  • Mega Meal Challenge: Grizzly takes the Burrito Challenge, which is to eat one of each of their burrito varieties in under one hour. He bets he can do it in half an hour. He does it in 15 minutes. But then they bring in the giant burrito and he can't bear himself to eat it, thus forfeiting the challenge.
  • Mood Whiplash: Grizzly starts doing humorous stuff with the burrito, then is driven to an obsession with it to the point his brothers steal the burrito from him. Grizz is back to normal by the end of the episode, but then it ends with a flashback of how Grizzly was rescued from a tree as a cub.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Panda immediately apologizes and tries to comfort Grizzly when the burrito exploded and tries to put it back together again.
  • Oh, Crap!: Panda and Ice Bear have this reaction when after Grizzly forfeits the food challenge the waiter gives them their check and demands cash only.
  • Once More, with Clarity: The episode opens with a scene of firemen rescuing a child from a tree. The episode ends with the reveal that it was Grizz.
  • Photo-Booth Montage: Grizz takes Burrito into a photo booth.
  • Tension-Cutting Laughter: After the giant burrito is destroyed by a lightning strike, Grizzly goes into a Heroic BSoD. But seeing his brothers fooling around with the burned remains of the burrito causes Grizz to burst out laughing as he goes back to normal.
  • Whole-Plot Reference: The plot of someone falling in love with a piece of food, refusing to eat it until it spoils, is very similar to the Spongebob Squarepants episode "To Love A Patty". But done in a less disturbing manner, while at the same time acknowledging how disturbing it is.
