Recap / Time Stop Brave Ch 46 Brutism and Stop

Go To

Sekai, Esther, Lucille, and her golem walk down a corridor. When other golems stand in their way, Lucille tells her golem to mow them down and it does with laser eye beams. Sekai is absolutely amazed. The golem pauses to offer Sekai a high-five, leaving him touched that Gankichi is still in there. He ponders that Lucille must be even more powerful than Fury since Fury's golem never demonstrated lasers. They find Discius and the golem throws a punch, but is stopped by an invisible force field. Lucille has it try again with the same result. Discius tells her to stop and she does not understand. She says she does not want to understand him and has the golem fire its lasers, but they create an explosion on impact with the force field. Sekai freezes time and moves them backwards to avoid the explosion. After he unfreezes time and explains what he did, Esther is amazed that they cannot break the force field. Discius says he is drawing on the infinite power of the city, so Lucille cannot break it no matter how special she is.

He reveals that Fury and Lucille are the last descendants of the Celestials. Sekai muses that would explain why they were the only dark elves he had seen. Discius says the Celestials were wiped out by persecution, but this village harbored their ancestors. Shocked, Lucille says she had no idea about this, and Discius says only one person knew. Otomi walks up and guesses he means the village's deceased chief, who was the oldest elf at around 800 years old. Discius confirms this and says the chief made a pact with the Celestials to revive their race and present the village to the heavens. He only told Discius, so he is carrying out his will. Otomi says it is more plausible that Discius found the chief's notes, then murdered him to gain power. Discius angrily says she has no proof.

The group is surrounded by golems and Discius says that the floating city is proof the Celestials were real. Lucille is their descendant, so they should be working together. Sekai tells him to watch himself, because according to what he is saying, Lucille should be the rightful ruler. Otomi laughs and says that is true. Sekai asks Lucille what she wants and promises to support her. She says the elves should worship Entoura and do not belong in the sky. Discius calls her a fool, but Sekai tells him off for badmouthing his ruler. Lucille offers to lead them to Fury and they walk away. Discius orders them to stop, but nervously realizes he cannot follow them because he would have to leave the safety of his force field.

Meanwhile, Zaraza is shocked to suddenly find herself naked and missing her whip. She orders some darklings to find clothes for her and wonders why the village is empty. She is knocked down by an explosion caused by Lucille's golem when their group broke through a wall. Sekai greets Zaraza by name and says she is looking good. She covers herself and asks how he knows her name, causing him to remember that they have not yet met in this timeline. He taunts her for getting embarrassed, remembering how she was like in the first timeline. She stops covering herself and says that is right, she should not care that a mere human is looking at her. He challenges her to turn around and bend over, and she does. He then tells her to rub her breasts, but Lucille glares at him, so he stops.

Anyway, since they all want to stop this floating city, Sekai says they should work together. Zaraza says no because she doesn't care about them or the elves. Sekai says they'll have to stop her if she opposes them. She declares the Forces of Darkness will eventually take control of this floating city and tells the darklings that they will figure out how it works and report back to the King of Darkness. However, when she spots Otomi, she gets pissed off and yells that she and her sisters abducted several darklings and used them in experiments. Otomi laughs and confirms this and adds that she and her sisters transplanted darkling livers into them, which made them ageless and stronger at night. Of course, this killed the darklings in question. As Esther and the others are shocked, Zaraza screams that she will kill her.

Zaraza tries to charge at Otomi, but Sekai freezes time and moves his group in front of Shinra before unfreezing time, commenting that this was where they were headed anyway. Lucille says Sekai is amazing for wanting to negotiate with the darklings. Sekai says Otomi ruined it and he cannot believe she could say those horrible things without remorse. They enter the tree and Sekai is horrified to find that Fury and the other priestesses have been turned into wooden statues.
