Recap / Time Stop Brave Ch 41 MagicStone and Stop

Go To

Fury tries to sound the alarm, but Sekai freezes time to tie her up and stick a ball gag in her mouth. He quickly shows her his Keystone and summarizes everything to convince her he is a friend. They go to her house and he serves her and Lucille curry, which they enjoy. Just as he tells them about the slime creature and Aksho's murder, their aunt comes in and he immediately hides before she can see him. The aunt talks about how Aksho was killed and the assembly building was frozen over. Sekai freezes time to grope her, grumbling about how she was hostile the last few times they met. He hides and unfreezes time. The aunt says she is investigating and warns the two not to go outside before leaving.

Fury says she now believes Sekai is telling the truth. He freezes time to take her to Otomi's cabin. Fury identifies her as Tomitris Tangelica or Otomi for short, an ambassador from the League of Mages. They show her the slime, but it refuses to talk or drop its rock disguise. Otomi admits that the League of Mages had deemed the elves a threat because they are hoarding all the magic stones. Fury protests that her village sticks to its mine and is not interested in magic stones from outside. Otomi says that the mines aside from the elf village have been drying up, causing a shortage. The League tried to trade for the village's magic stones, but were refused. Now the situation has changed since Aksho, who opposed trading, is dead.

Otomi then reveals a hypothesis that Shinra is draining the outside world of magic to replenish the elves' mine. Fury says that is ridiculous, but Otomi says she investigated the land and found Shinra's roots are spreading to areas where the magic stones are depleted. Fury says they will confirm it and asks Sekai to take her to where she first met him. He freezes time and carries her to Shinra, then wonders why she was there in the first place. When he unfreezes time, she is a little rattled and says his ability is unsettling. Anyway, she opens a passage in the trunk and they enter. She explains that as a priestess of Entoura, she must regularly come here to donate energy to Shinra, whose health had been declining. They pass another female elf named Aileron. Sekai quickly hides while the two casually greet each other before Aileron leaves the tree. Sekai notes that she was wearing a similar skimpy outfit to Fury. Before, Fury was the only elf he saw who dressed like that, so he thought it was just Fury's kink. Up ahead is a bunch of female elves in similar outfits to Fury pouring energy into the tree. Excited, Sekai freezes time to grope them all.

After getting past them, they come to a passage and she says the priestesses are not allowed in there. She asks him to take her in there, so he freezes time to carry her, needing to hack through vines blocking the path. When he unfreezes time, she is horrified to find that Otomi was telling the truth, the roots are indeed sucking up magic and producing magic stones. Suddenly, a male elf with a squad of golems shows up and yells at them. Sekai quickly freezes time and gets Fury outside. When he unfreezes time, he says hopefully, that guy didn't see their faces. Fury says he is Discius Orcus, a member of the faction opposing opening the village to outsiders. The big question is, what was he doing inside Shinra? Also, he was wearing black and had a symbol on his clothes that she had never seen before, so she has a bad feeling about this.

Fury thanks Sekai for letting her know the problem in her village, but says the elves will handle it. Sekai asks her to let him help her, then holds her hands and says he will make miracles for her. She seriously blushes, then asks if he can stop Aksho from dying, as she believes he is the only one who can stop Discius. Sekai bids her goodbye and is glad she is always dependable. He freezes time and releases the rock form of the slime outside the village, saying in case this is an alternate timeline, he should at least give them a chance to avoid the bandit attack.

He goes to Otomi and says he needs her to kill him so he can go back to the future, but says not to kill him abruptly like last time. She offers him her cloak, saying it offers magic resistance, since she wants to test if it can stand up to her ice attacks. She then freezes him and he wakes up back in the present with Niña, Fury, and Esther standing over him. The timer has roughly 40 hours left. He asks Fury what happened to Discius. Surprised, she says on the day the village opened to outsiders, he and his followers left the village and had not been seen since. He says he'll remember that and freezes time, saying he must go back to the past.
