After doing the trial a fourth time and going back to the past, Sekai declares this will be his perfect run. He freezes time, goes to the council building, noting that Aksho is still alive, then grabs the slime creature and puts him in the glass jar in Otomi's cabin. He unfreezes time, meets Otomi, and fills her in. They go to her cabin and he convinces the slime creature to drop his disguise by predicting what he will say. He tells Otomi to keep an eye on him and freezes time.
He finds Fury and ties her up and sticks a ball gag in her mouth, then unfreezes time. He tells her about Discius' conspiracy, then unties her and says first they should eat with Lucille. He cooks curry for them and they are delighted. He then takes Fury to the inside of Shinra to the place where the roots are creating magic stones. She says he was telling the truth and the village must know. She picks a very big magic stone and says the League of Mages can have it. She is not sure what Discius is planning, but he has more authority than her. Sekai says they'll figure it out later, then asks her to go outside the village for a bit.
He freezes time, then explores the nearby towns. In a tavern, he finds the bandit/assassin leader, Bartini, drinking with some girls. He ties him up and suspends him from a tree, then unfreezes time. After a few minutes, Bartini's men come to cut him down. Sekai remembers all of them from the last time he caught them, and with Gankichi's help, ties them all up. He finds a wanted poster for Bartini and hangs it around his neck, then leaves them to be arrested.
Sekai then meets Fury in the forest and explains that due to the concealment spell, he'll need her help to get back to the village. As she leads him, she says she cannot believe she is trusting a stranger. He returns to Otomi's cabin with the huge magic stone. Amazed, she says it could provide power for three years. The timer has about 36 hours left and he asks if they could deliver it to the League of Mages soon. After putting the magic stone in a sack, Otomi tells him to get on her flying broomstick. He hops on and grabs her breasts, but she yells at him to cut it out so he grabs her waist.
She takes off and he can barely hang on since the broomstick flies even faster than Bahamut. However, when they reach the edge of the village, they are stopped by an invisible forcefield. They look down and find Discius casting the spell. He roars that they will not escape and casts a gravity spell to pull them out of the sky. Sekai tries to freeze time, but the extreme gravity paralyzes him and he cannot reach his controller. He and Otomi fall to the ground with a loud crash.
