The monster grabs Sekai and flies off with him. He tries to freeze time, but cannot reach his controller. Ranga hurls her axe to bring it down, then rushes over and finishes it off. She berates him and says she thought he was a warrior, but he didn't even try to use his sword. They get surrounded by ghouls and monsters, but he freezes time to kill them in an instant, amazing her. He says they need to get back to the Nether Gate. He freezes time to strip and grope her, then returns her clothes and carries her back to where they arrived. Earlier, when the Nether Gate closed, it disappeared. He unfreezes time and she is confused, but he says it should arrive any second now. Sure enough, it reappears and opens.
Ranga says before they go, she needs to go to the bathroom and runs off. Sekai imagines a scenario where the Nether Gate closed while he was waiting for her, then it later opened again and they stepped through. Sadly, only Niña and Lovisa were there to greet them. They sadly said several months had passed, and in that time, the Realm of Darkness covered this land and almost everyone is dead.
Sekai roars that he won't let that happen and grabs Ranga, saying to go to the bathroom after they get back. Once they step through, Niña hugs him and cries, saying she missed him. Fury says Niña had Bahamut sink the darklings' ships, which slowed them down for a bit. The Realm of Darkness is almost about to reach the coast. Lovisa says even though it is daytime, the full moon is in the sky, so they will do the ritual now.
The ritual is performed and King Tutoom is revived. Lovisa asks him how to defeat the King of Darkness. He says it was a prophecy, "Darkness cometh, and light falleth... When Darkness swalloweth Mount Cape, bright light shall shine in the land of Goido." As they wonder what that means, Tutoom speaks with his son and says he is proud of him and Lovisa, reducing her to tears. Tutoom suddenly dies again and his ghost returns to the Nether Gate. Lovisa says she wasn't talented enough to do a true resurrection. She then says she's never heard of Goido. Sekai explains that according to the history books, roughly 200 years ago, there was a war between humans and dwarves. The dwarves named the site of a famous battle Goido after their leader, but the humans named it the Zarbor Plains. Those Lovisa has heard of; the Zarbor Plains are 2 days away in the northeast.
Sekai freezes time and has Gankichi carry himself, Niña, Fury, and Ranga to the Zarbor Plains in a cart. He unfreezes time and they are confused by their new surroundings at first. Sekai says if this prophecy is right, something should happen here. Suddenly, a meteor falls and strikes the ground. Sekai freezes time before the explosion reaches them, then realizes that since Gankichi was active when he did it, it is frozen too. He grudgingly moves everyone away from the impact, taking time to strip and grope Fury. He returns her clothes and unfreezes time, causing her to notice and be offended. They check out the crater.
