- Continuity Nod: During the Cutaway Gag where Herr Zeller makes Christopher Plummer play the Grand Duke, he says he'll now be recruiting Abe Vigoda for Good Burger.
- Double Entendre: When Goldie kisses Chanticleer.Critic: Hey look, she kissed him on the pecker. (long pause) Next scene.
- Eat the Camera: After the camera zooms into Chanticleer's mouth, Critic makes it go into his digestive system.
- Elmuh Fudd Syndwome: Critic constantly mocks Edmond for speaking this way.
- Furry Confusion: Critic is confused by the animals living on the farm and the animal residents of the city.
- Carnivore Confusion: Critic is baffled if the live people on the farm go to a city of cartoon animals.
Critic: Well thank you Mr. Pig, this frying pan well really help us out when we're cooking up some baco-uuuuuuuuhhhh... on that note, how about them bears? (pause) The team, not the people who own the hardware store down the street. - Jerkass Gods: Critic depicts God as one of these.God hears you, Chanticleer! I didn't mean to put the rotation of the planets out of order! I was just fucking with ya!
- No Ending: Critic says the film just "stops".
- Plot Hole: Because there isn't a reason why the sun comes up if Chanticleer crows, Critic makes up his own reason.God got bored and wanted to fuck around with the rooster, so he played yo-yo with the sun! There, I'm happy. Now let's see how else they're gonna confuse me!
- Pun: Critic calls the film a "mother-clucking mess".
- Rhetorical Question Blunder:Goldie: But I'm too good for the chorus! What's he [Chanticleer] got that I haven't got?
Critic!Pinky: Well, a penis, for starters. - Running Gag: The Critic mocking of Edmond's voice.

- When Critic says that somebody must have made Christopher Plummer appear in this film, he shows a clip from The Sound of Music modified so that Herr Zeller catches Captain Von Trapp and forces him to appear in the film.
- At one point, Critic calls the Grand Duke "The Phantom of the Owl-pera".
- Critic calls the film an animated version of Mad Libs.
- "She says her name is Goldie."
- Critic calls the bodyguards Battletoads.
- Critic refers to the car chase as "Ben-Fur".
- When the Grand Duke becomes a giant tornado in the climax, Critic shouts "Auntie Em, it's a crappy movie!"
- The shrunk Grand Duke is compared to Eric Cartman.
- Special Effects Failure: Critic calls the final scene of an live-action Edmond on the animated farm as a "cwappy bwue-scween effect".
- What Happened to the Mouse?: Referenced referring to what happened to Edmond's family in the animated world.Edmond: What about my family? Are they alright?Critic!Duke: Your family? They left this movie hours ago. They know a stinker when they see one.
