- It's Popular, Now It Sucks!: Invoked by the Critic, who notes that the main reason why everyone hates the franchise so much is that because despite the quality of its story and characters, it's very popular among girls and young women.
- Your Vampires Suck: Critic notes that while there are many different interpretations of vampires and their legends, many people have the problem with Edward's "sparkle".

Unintentionally Unsympathetic: One of the biggest complaints, he agrees with is that some of the characters (with the exception of Jacob and Bella's father) are pretty unlikable especially Bella.
